Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: A walk on the wild side just a 10 minute drive from Keswick. With the backdrop of the Skiddaw massif the emphasis is very much on conservation, education and engaging with visitors - our Keepers are keen to talk and enjoy passing on their knowledge and enthusiasm. Wander around our beautiful 24 acre parkland and see over 100 species. The magical Bird of Prey flying displays have been a regular feature since the park opened and we have gathered an eclectic mix of over 100 species from Anaconda to Zebra. The Granddad of the park is Brian the Lar Gibbon - he is the oldest in Europe and has pride of place in the centre of the park where he and his family can be seen swinging from the massive Oak tree. We are members of BIAZA and over the years we have successfully worked with Zoo stud books to breed species including Lynx, Asian Fishing Cats and Ring Tailed Lemurs to name just three.

Fantasic day out with lots of things to do and see. The bird talk / display is first rate and the keepers talks are very good for all ages.

We visited on a rainy day so the park was very quiet but still had a great time. It is relatively small if you compare it to the big zoos but there are a good selection of animals and nice activities throughout the day. We adopted an animal so we got vouchers to attend which is a really nice way to do it

This is quiet small for a wildlife park but still worth a visit. All the staff are friendly and knowledable and obviously care a lot about the animals. We especially enjoyed the talks on the otters, lemurs and the birds of prey.

Visited on a showery day but even in the sun the park looks tired. The talks were very good but there is not enough in the rest of the park to keep the attention of small children.
The admission charge is fair but please stop charging for a map of the site!

As some of the previous reviews said, the amount of time you spend at the park is greatly increased by the amount of talks that you attend, which is definitely worth while!

The Meerkat and Lynx talks were very informative and brilliant to watch, the gentleman was pleased to answer all the questions people had. The man doing the birds of prey talk was hilarious, and although talks on this subject are quite common, he made it very unique and enjoyable!

I then went on to have a 'Keepers experience' which is highly recommended!
This meant you could go in the enclosures of the Meerkats and the Lemurs, feed them both, and also hold and fly an owl. This really made the day, especially the Lemur encounter, it is recommended 100%.
