Tour was organized and good price for what you get . Little bit of a bus ride from port yet got to see a lot of country . Our guide was great and very knowledgeable . The walk itself was both interesting and amazing . The waterfall was refreshing . The furnished us with refreshments , water and a back pac . Thanks for a great time

I enjoyed the ride to and from the Rainforest and learnt a bit about SanJuan Puerto Rico on the way. The walk in the forest was awesome, the sights, the smells, the sounds and the short swim in the river full of fish. I very much appreciated our guide who was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun. We had a light snack by the river and overall it was a great experience. Would like to do this again sometime for a longer period of time in the forest.

Our group booked this tour through Royal Caribbean. Mike was very informative. Seen things we would not have seen if we ventured out on our own. Enjoyed the waterfall and the walk to and from it. Trail is well maintained.

The backpack, water & towel was a nice touch made it easier to carry everything.

The Cruise Line write up did not indicate to bring your bathing suite - as you can enter the water if choose. You might want to bring some snacks from the ship as you will receive a granola bar - which caught some people off guard as we were expecting a small lunch to be provided as it was a long day. There is no place to get anything to eat till after the excursion.

The Nature Walk into the El Yunque Rainforest was a great experience. During the bus ride to the rainforest we were given pertinent information about what to expect. At the trailhead we were given water bottles, backpacks, towels, snacks (bars) and bug repellent. No need to take your own. Mike, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about pointing out all of the features of the Rain Forest. There were some steep parts on the trail, but it was well maintained and doable by most. I would like to go back someday to do the evening tour to see the additional features of the rainforest. The only drawback was we were late getting off the ship and as a result there was no time to shop in Old San Yuan.

I had the pleasure of attending this tour on Wednesday January 29, 2013 from the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas Group.

It is a beautiful, interpretive tour of the rainforest and life you might see on a daily basis during major rains or just in general. Our tour guide Mike was incredible in sharing the insights on rainforest life, flora, and fauna.

The hike though steep in parts downhill and uphill, culminates in a view of a 70 foot waterfall in the rainforest where you could take pictures, swim under, and just refresh.

The tour included transportation from the port and back, granola snacks, towels, bottled water, and a great talk!

I liked it and I hope you will consider either booking this through a cruise line or directly from them should you be in Puerto Rico. It is about an hour out from the port of San Juan, but the hour trip back and forth coupled with the few hours in the rain forest was more than worth it. Definitely on a must-see list in my opinion.
