“How Truly Unique It Was!”

As "first timers" in a real Rainforest, we did not know what to expect. We soon found out that it was a beautiful and special place to visit and experience! Although some of the walking was a little bit difficult for some of our seniors, everyone made the trek with little or no major problems. Our Tour Guide was awesome! He readily knew and answered our questions...plus, gave in-depth explanations. All in all, a wonderful adventure!

“Amazing”
Reviewed March 15, 2012

Had a wonderful time. The guide was very knowledgeable and even found the "hiding frog" for us to see. Almost to the waterfall and it started raining. It only added to the amazement of it all. Thank you so much for takin the time to guide us, educate us, and provide us with lasting memories!

“Wonderful 50th Anniversay Adventure”
Reviewed March 14, 2012

We took our cruise on Royal Caribean in a very large part because of the writeup in the travel brochure about this land excursion. We were not disappointed. It rained almost the entire hike, but we still loved it. The rainforest was beautiful and the falls at the end of the hike made it worth the effort. Would recommend it for anyone going to San Juan who would like a close up and personal tour of rainforest habitat.

“El Yunque Rainforest Walk and Swim”
Reviewed March 9, 2012

This was a fantastic walk through the El Yunque Rainforest. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable with facts about the rainforest. The best part was getting into the water under the waterfall; sure it was cold but very refreshing. If you have never been on a walking tour like this you should!

“WOW - We had the royal treatment - Wonderful”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

Our excursion on the Rainforest nature Walk began after disembarking Royal Caribbean's The Navigaor of the Seas and the ROYAL Treatment continued. After a very informative bus ride with Dan, one of our walking guides, we were met by two other guides waiting for us with our backpacks filled with water, towels, and snacks. Our walk to the waterfall was filled with tales of the rainforest and tales of one of our guides who grew up in the area. There's nothing like stories from the locals who have actually experienced the rainforest. Once we reached the waterfall, my husband and brother-in-law decided to take a dip in the COOOOOLD water. Dan, our guide, told us they were the first this year from his tours to get into the water. This time of year it's still pretty cold. After our time at the waterfall, our journey back down was just as informative and interesting. This was an extremely GOOD excursion and I would recommend it to anyone. One tip...aqua socks would be a good type of shoe to wear if you are going to go swimming. Although the description states uneven terrain, it is mostly paved with ups and down. DO IT - IT'S GREAT!
