The best restaurant in all the east coast of Puerto Rico! Oh my god where can i start? First the location is great nice family fun enviorment. We had the pork loin stuffed with yuca and bacon:) The sauce is to die for!!! Our waiter Chris recomended it to us, he also recomended the house drink and it was amazing i believe its was juncoa or something like that... Ive been all over the states and some of the carribean restaurats and he is definitly THE BEST waiter ever!! The bartender was a sweetheart and the chef came to our table and told us it was his pleasure to cook for us:) Before you guys go to anyother crappy fast food or a bad restaurant at the kiosks in luquillo go see Chris and Barbakoa at El yunque

“What a Delightful Surprise!”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

OMG, what can I say? We stopped here after touring El Yunque National Park. Being true tourists the al fresco dining caused us to pause...am I glad we bucked up and gave this restaurant a try. It was FANTASTIC!! We all had something different and every dish was delicious! At the end of our late lunch the chef came out and introduced himself and politely avoided giving me his mushroom sauce recipe:) Please make an effort to try this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

“Pretty environment w nice staff but below average food.”
Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant sits next to a beautiful river in the rain forest and seating is outside only. We were greeted warmly and the service was attentive but it took a very very long time to get the food. We had appetizers and the only one of mention to recognize was the beef turnover. We had the skirt steak dish and the angus beef in mushroom sauce. Average at best w small portions. We each had a drink and no deserts and the bill was $160 with tip. Too pricey. Would not recommend.

“Nice laidback hangout with average food”
Reviewed June 8, 2013

The atmosphere is great, but the restaurant does not offer a variety of plates, and the ones we tried were ok but nothing made them special. Would come back for a beer and snacks next to the river, not for dinner though.
