“Beautiful with large rooms”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

As with all other st Regis hotels, this property did not disappoint. The rooms were very large and beautifully appointed. The bathroom was also incredible spacious and probably the biggest shower I've ever seen. The TV inside the mirror was a nice surprise for my kids.
The pool area is gorgeous and plenty of lounge chairs. The poolside restaurant had excellent food, as did Moalasses and Fern. We had the tasting menu twice at Fern and were very satisfied with service and food. It was a very relaxing getaway for a few days.

We loved the setting here. Walking to your room it felt like you were in the rain forest. We did not encounter one staff member who was rude. Every single person was nice. We did both the Kayak tour and nature tour. They were great and our guide Ashley was very knowledgable. The beach was a little rough every day we were there. If you go to this resort you might try walking a ways over to the left or right on the beach as it is most rough in front of the pool area. The concierge gave us a coupon for Barrachina in old San Juan that got 4 of us a free round of piña coladas which saved us some money. Drinks at the pool are a little pricy (18$ a pop)

We stayed in the Verandas Villas for a Week in three villas on a guys golf trip. The accommodations were perfect for our group. We had breakfast almost every morning at the halfway house on the golf course, great food, great value. Only thing was the lack of coordination between the resort and rental villas, everything worked out but could have been better. The resort grounds are beautiful with a tropical feel. Really enjoyed the golf course very demanding but fair. Would definitely recommend this to friends.

My husband and I stayed at the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort for two nights. We were looking for a place to get-a-way, relax and unplug from the world--and this place exceeded our expectations.

We took a taxi from the airport upon arrival. The commute was about 35 minutes and $70 one-way. As we drove, you knew the St. Regis was going to be remote. As soon as we pulled inside the gates, we were in awe. The St. Regis is huge. From the golf course, to the residence, to the actual hotel--the property in general is expansive. But, it's beautifully landscaped throughout and picture-perfect in every direction that you look. So, so impressive!

The room--wow! We had a Garden View room and after seeing the room--the view honestly didn't matter. The room itself was huge! We could have moved in and stayed forever. It was decorated beautifully too, and the bathroom was something out of a magazine! We were in building six, so the location was perfect too. It was a really short walk to the Plantation House and the pool.

We spent most of our time at the Pool. (The beach had red flag warning for wind and rough surf during our stay.) The pool is big and there are plenty of chairs --which are incredible comfortable!

We enjoyed dinner at Fern and Molasses on property. Both were very good--and service was excellent. Get the Mofongo at Molasses! It was recommended by nearly every employee and it was tender and delicious! Our time at the St. Regis was short, but had we stayed any longer, we would have wanted to leave the property for dinner. (We like a little change...and eating and drinking on property is expensive!) For longer trips, I'd suggest renting a car or planning a dinner or two elsewhere.

We loved the nightly Champagne ritual at the Plantation House! What a neat tradition!! And, it was a great place to sit and watch the ocean, and meet other guests.

The St. Regis was incredible! It exceeded our expectations and would be our go-to location in Puerto Rico. (We've stayed in Old San Juan & Isla Verda previously.) I highly recommend if you're looking for a place to relax.

This place was awesome. We stayed in two rooms - one suite and one regular room. The butler would bring hot French pressed coffee each morning and take care if anything else we wanted. The bathrooms were unbelievable. They had to be at least 400 sq ft. The pool and grounds were also great. My one complaint would be that the beach was too rough while we were there and no one really could go in but otherwise it is easy to see why this is a five diamond hotel.

The service at the St Regis should serve as a model for all five star resorts to follow. From your personal butler to the greeting staff, the restaurant staff and spa they truly made us feel special and like the most important guests on the property. The view from the lobby is stunning, there are a lot of activities to do- from kayaking and sailing, spa, golf, pool/beach. The poolside food was great and the restaurant Fern was divine. It is a large property and very lush. Lots of meeting space and locations for events. When compared to the Ritz Carlton Durado beach I would say the service at St. Regis is far better but the wow factory of the property is better at the Ritz.

Room Tip: Choose a room with an ocean view- the suites have 2 bathrooms, a living room and extended deck facin...

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay two weekends ago at the St Regis Bahia Beach. We were welcomed by staff and guided throughout the resort by Raul. While the staff was wonderful, they weren't too invasive. All of the facilities were populated, but not too crowded. We enjoyed one day by the pool with great lunch and drink service. We dined at Fern and the small restaurant on the golf course; both were great. We enjoyed utilizing the bicycles and the kayaks during one afternoon. The only downside was the inability to swim in the ocean. The flags were up the entire time so we couldn't go swimming. We did however take advantage of the 24 hour pool and jacuzzi each night and we were the only people in either both nights.
We also planned some excursions, including the rainforest hike through the resort. Jeffrey, our guide, was wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. We asked him to make a stop at a local eatery and he took us to a charming local restaurant that satisfied both of our appetites. We also tried to schedule another excursion, but unfortunately ran out of time. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation at this great facility. The staff was great, especially Raul!
