Based on tripadvisor reviews, we had dinner at this Restaurant which is located in the sprawling complex at the Gran Melia Resort. The hotel grounds are quite expansive and it's a fairly long walk from the parking area to the Restaurant itself. Although the Hotel is well known, it appeared dated and in need of some refurbishing. Although this is supposedly the height of the season, there were few people walking around and only a handful in the Restaurant, Pasion. The restaurant itself is not pretty, and has little ambiance. However, the food more than makes up for it. The mofongo served is as good as we ever had. The churasco was beautifully seasoned and grilled as was the seafood. The service was attentive (I guess they had to be since there were less than 10 people in the restaurant when we went there). If you don't mind this average ambiance, then this is the place to get a terrific meal. Prices are moderate.
