“Wonderful Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

I have never heard of this garden but was visiting a friend in Worthing last weekend and she suggested we go. It was most unusual and being able to get right into the middle of the borders was amazing. Beautiful flowers, lots of colour and a lovely cafe where you could sit outside for your cuppa amongst the plants. The Nasturtiums in particular were wonderful. Definately worth a visit.

we are delighted that you loved our garden as much as we do ! we very purposefully put the paths right into the borders so we could take all of you right inside the landings as we feel that so helps you experience the wonder and colour and texture of the garden ! we look forward to welcoming you back again to our hidden gem !

“Absolutely delightful garden - minutes from Brighton”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2014

One of Sussex's best kept secrets until now! A delightful garden which is dog and children friendly. Located in Henfield and easy access from Brighton, it took us twenty minutes by car. A wonderful mix of grasses, plants and garden sculptures laid out prairie style. Really friendly and knowledgable people in the shop and super organic ice-cream too. All the ingredients for a perfect day out.

“magical place. inspirational and friendly.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2014

heat wave hit and we were looking for somewhere creative to mirander with our dog. sussex prairies garden was right on our door step and we hadn't realised. when we got there it wasnt too busy and the entrance and drive there way beautiful. we were greeted by a lovely lady call pauline who told us a little about the garden and encourageed us to walk between the plants for the full experience. the was a craft workshop, a cafe, plant shop, gift shop, and much more.
then we entered the main garden - its unreal! id say it the best garden ive visited in a long long time.
aftewards I bought plants I had seen growing and now im off home to try and create a little bit of sussex prairie garden all of my own.
everyone needs to visit this place!

Thank you for your lovely review of our garden ! we are so pleased to hear from people who have had a great experience here with us and our garden. We think it is beautiful (but we are biased after all !) so it is wonderful to hear how much of an inspiration it can be . Walking among the borders is the best thing possible to get up close and personal with plants and get that true prairie experience. Come again soon !

“Most Unusual Gardens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

The Sussex Prairie Gardens near Henfield have a number of herbaceous borders planted with broad drifts of a wide range of plants (ie prairie style). The idea is that you wander through these borders following the paths woven throughout. This makes for a very interesting and stimulating experience. There is also a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit.

“A rather different garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

This is a lovely garden to visit in mid or late summer when the plants are at their best. It is full of grasses and natural planting with meandering paths . There is a nice cafe.
A good place to visit if you like something a bit different to the usual open garden.

That was exactly what we wanted to be ! Our intention was to make our garden extraordinarily different to the average British garden ! and hopefully to make it a sensual roller coaster of a ride ! so glad you enjoyed your visit to us .. come back again soon ! the garden moves through the season with colour and vibrancy as more and more flowers come out and the textures emerge !
