The Thorpe Guesthouse
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed February 10, 2013

My stay at the Thorpe Guesthouse was everything I hoped it would be. I was greeted by a friendly face, eager to please. I was shown to my room and everything was explained - not something you get in a hotel! Breakfast was arranged for a time convenient to me and freshly prepared. The room was large and well appointed with modern appliances and a comfortable bed. I would recommend The Thorpe Guesthouse to anyone wanting to stay away but feel at home.

I would fully recommend staying at the Thorpe guesthouse, having turned up on the first night there had been a mix up with the booking company and the owners were not expecting us. WE were well looked after and made to feel at home. One of the best B&B's I have stayed in. There is a wonderful pub 2 minutes around the corner called The Cock - the food was amazing p.s need an alarm clock next time I stay :)

I am particularly encouraged by this favourable response which bodes really well for the future. In this instance I was able to advise on directions to his meeting and also bring him up to pace with the strength of local opinion. In truth he was a perfect guest and we look forward to welcoming him back soon

Having stayed at The Thorpe a few times since discovering it in early 2012; its convenient close situation for the main A1 & A14 transport links coupled to its tranquil rural location, with additional pleasant village walks and hostelries if required, continues to tick all the boxes for me.
The comfortable, contemporary accommodation and en suite facilities, supplemented by a warm and respectful welcome from “mein host” Stewart, has definitely put it top on my call list when needing to stay over in the Cambridge/Huntingdon area.

I would highly recommend this place.....I had come to the area on business and I have to say the Thorpe Guesthouse is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The Gentleman was very welcoming and a great host throughout the couple of days I was there. The room was superb, very modern and comfortable. There was a great restaurant just down the road and the village is beautiful. Overall BRILLIANT!!! I will be returning.
