We had a great dinner at the Heritage Kitchen. We ordered at the small kitchen window and the owner explained all the different fish options and helped us understand what our dinners would be like since it wasn't intuitive from the menu. She took special interest in the kids and tried to make sure they had something they would like. The choices were mostly simple fish dinners served with rice, vegetable side and a fritter.

The fish was extremely fresh, batter dipped and sauteed in light oil. the grouper was topped with onions and a coconut sauce which was delicious. The portion sizes were very large and satisfying.

Seating was self serve at outside tables under a large tree or awnings. When we were done we could sit on the seawall and watch the sunset.

During our trip we ate at a number of local "roadside" restaurants, but the food at Heritage Kitchen was hands down the best we had all week. My wife and I had the coconut Grouper and it was unbelievable! My daughter had the Mahi Mahi and that was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend visiting Heritage Kitchen if you want to experience some great local food at a reasonable price.

Great food! Best deal I had on the island by far. I must say first of all that I dislike fancy dining, but I spent the whole week on the island going to expensive fancy restaurant and although a few were ok, the cook at the Heritage kitchen could give them a few cooking lessons. This was real, authentic food with lots of flavour unlike those other places where all you taste are the spiced and sauces. Worth going there although keep in mind that it's exactly like on the pic, simple, no frills so don't go there expecting anything fancy although it's right on the water (which is something the other restaurants on the island seem to be charging you for). The menu is also a little limited and consists mostly on fish.
I highly recommend it!

Just ate lunch with boyfriend at Heritage. Curry Grouper and Cayman Grouper. Love potato salad with beets. Excellent house-made lemonade. Got order of BBQ Chicken with peas/rice to take home for dinner tonight (and probably lunch tomorrow by the size of the portion). It is the best food deal on the island. Fresh fish. Kind service. Real island taste. Nice vibe. Great view. A must do when visiting Cayman.

we happened upon this gem kind of by accident and found exactly what we were looking for; delicious fried fish and dumplings! if we had found this place our first day we would have eaten here every day of our trip! the food was amazing and the homemade hot sauce on the tables was so good we brought a jar home with us. go check it out. you will not be disappointed! they also have a great view of the ocean and there is a nice little souvenir shop/museum next door with very reasonable prices.
