“Probably the best shopping centre in the southern hemisphere.”

Chadstone has the best layout and range of shops in Australia. Nothing comes close to it as you will definitely find whatever you are looking for here. Parking can be an issue and can take a little while.

“Shopaholics paradise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

Every store imaginable plus some I've never heard of, under one enormous roof.

I caught the free bus from Fed Square. At time of print is was running on Wednesdays at 10am with a return at 3pm. And Thursdays & Fridays at 10 and 11 am with returns at 3 and 4.30pm. The trip there takes about 30 minutes and the return trip (via highway) just 15 minutes. A brilliant service for visitors.

For shopaholics, Chadstone shopping centre, is a must. Seemed to have all the same SALES that were on offer in the city as well.

The centre itself is, as many large shopping centres, confusing to say the least but very light and architecturally attractive.

If you have a spare day to fill in after all the 'usual' Melbourne attractions, well worth a visit.

“Huge shopping complex.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

Chadstone shopping centre is a huge shopping complex. Shops are within everyone's budget from discounted to high end labels.Parking can be at a premium, so if coming from the city, suggest the free shuttle is the way to go.

“Overwhelmlingly huge!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

If what you want is designer shops, then visit Chadstone. I have a good sense of direction, but this is the one place I kept being disoriented. Although there seemed to be lots of people the day we visited, speaking to staff, especially in the likes of David Jones and Myers, we got a feeling that there was not that much spending going on. To make the trip worthwhile, you need to bring lots of money or to have a lot of credit left on your card.

The more ordinary shops like K-Mart are at basement level.

This was the only place we came across bathrooms iin need of significant attention which surprised us greatly. It was a Saturday and there were lots of families, but I dont think that's a good enough excuse, do you! And I couldn't find anyone to take responsibility either, which I thought very poor.

So my rating is for the above average range and number of shops, but the bathroom experience left a lot to be desired.

“The Shopping Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

We went to the shopping centre on the free bus and had a look at all the sites on the way and then when we go there we had a great time shopping and was in awe of all the shops that was there. We had lunch in the eating area and met some lovely locals that made us feel really welcome and told us a lot about the area. They were very friendly and we glad to hear what they had to say. Then on the way back we went a different way and the sites were good to see also. We went pass Rod Laver Areana and saw them getting it ready for the tennis which was going to be on just after we left Melbourne. Everything was just wonderful.
