My wife and I stayed at Roxbro House 1/4/14 and stayed in room no.3. On arriving we were met by Clare, who was very friendly and attentive, who then shown us around the building before taking us to our room. We were very impressed with the room, it was beautifully furnished, and had a great shower, plenty of hot water (though be careful with the tap water as it is particularly hot) and had lot's of great little touches such as a great variety of tea, dressing gowns, very nice toiletries, chocolates in the room, and lovely biscuits. A small glass bottle of milk was left outside the room each morning too. There was a great choice on the breakfast menu which we ate in pleasant surroundings the garden room. My wife had the breakfast rosti and I had the Craster Kipper on both mornings. Both were cooked perfectly, and again, we found the staff attentive and approachable. I would absolutely recommend Roxbro House to anyone looking to stay in Warkworth and intend on visiting again in future.

Best ever B and B we've been to! From the minute we walked into Roxbro house we were spoilt. We had The Owners Rooms, yes rooms! We had a slipper bath in the bedroom, a separate bathroom with double walk in shower and also a living room. The breakfast was amazing, choices galore. After a day of walking along the beautiful coastline we had the use of the hot tub in the garden of Roxbro House with a bottle of bubbly :) thank you Clare and Stu for our wonderful stay. We will be back as soon as possible and will certainly recommend Roxbro a House to our friends :)

We stayed at Roxbro House to celebrate Valentines and my birthday weekend .Beautiful accommodation and a high standard of service. Clare and Stu so friendly and welcoming and have thought of everything. Breakfast excellent - Stu cooks a mean egg! and the room picnic was delicious - a lovely idea. Great to have an honesty bar and lovely lounges to relax in and we loved the Owners Suite complete with slipper bath- so decadent! We had a wonderful stay and loved all the little extra touches that make Roxbro House so different and special. Visit and you will see for yourself. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: The Owners Suite is beautiful and at the very top of the house, so it's lovely if you want a bit...

We have just returned from a Valentine's weekend treat and I cannot recommend Roxbro House enough. From the second we arrived to Clare's warm welcome we felt cherished and cared for in this beautiful establishment. Clare gave us invaluable advice on where to visit and we had a wonderful break. Nothing is too much trouble and there were so many thoughtful and luxurious touches: we can't wait to visit again! Perfect!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 2 which had a beautiful view of the castle

Clare and Stu have thought of everything and we enjoyed every minute of our seven night stay with them. The room was beautiful and there were some lovely little touches like fresh fruit, baked biscuits, chocolates and water available alongside the freshly ground coffee and good selection of teas. Fresh milk was delivered every day which was a real treat. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was peaceful and quiet.

Roxbro House sits right opposite Warkworth Castle so you are treated to that view every day. We partook of their cheese and wine happy hour on the one occasion we were around at 5 pm and it was good to have a little chat with other guests. Within easy driving distance are loads of lovely villages and towns as well as plenty of castles!!

Stu's cooked breakfasts were delicious and we probably tried just about everything on offer (the haddock hash and kippers were our favourites). There was plenty of fruit, cereals and baked goodies on offer if one wished. Clare was wonderful and went out of her way to help us plan our daily excursions with helpful suggestions of local restaurants and the best places to visit.

Having managed a very successful boutique b&b myself I was keen to see what others were doing and I expected the very best given the high rating that Roxbro House has on Tripadvisor. The experience more than surpassed my expectations and I would recommend everyone try this place. They are a great team who offer a top notch product.

Room Tip: the only room available when we booked was Geoffrey's Room which is a twin room with an en suite...

We stayed for a two night break from 2nd Feb and had a lovely time. The location of Roxbro is great with the castle literally on the door step. Warkworth was beautiful and we enjoyed walks around the river. We also went to Amble, Alnmouth and Alnwick all which could be reached within less than 15 minutes in the car.

We went in the hot tub which was in the garden and was a fantastic touch, it was so relaxing after a day outdoors walking. We also borrowed DVDs for our room which were great if you wanted a night in.

Many fantastic little things such as milk at the door in the morning and chocolates in the room when we arrived.

Clare showed us round on arrival and was always asking ourselves and the other guests what we had planned or what we had done the previous night at breakfast which was lovely and something you don't usually find at hotels.

I would definitely recommend the Roxbro as somewhere to stay if visiting Northumberland. We had a wonderful break and was the relaxing and peaceful getaway we wanted.

We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous B&B. Room 2 overlooked the castle and was beautifully furnished. A very comfortable bed with feather pillows. Bath and shower facilities en-suite. We had a "Room Picnic" on our first night. Beautifully presented in a wicker hamper, the food was first class. Free cheese and wine available in the guest lounge during 'happy hour'. A good chance to mingle with fellow guests in a relaxed atmosphere. Claire and Stu were excellent hosts, and we shall definitely be returning

Room Tip: Room 2 is ideal if one of you prefers a shower and the other prefers a bath as both are available. L...
