“Luxurious Roxbro Guest House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Just returned from an overnight stay on 19th January 2013 in this fabulous Guest House. It was highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome. Bedroom and ensuite was absolutely superb with high quality antique furniture, with possibly the best bed we have ever seen or slept in, fabulous bathroom with roll top bath and corner shower, all amenities provided. It was lovely, warm and cosy on a cold winters night. Breakfast was really lovely with a huge choice to suit everyone. You simply couldn't stay anywhere better in Warkworth which is a lovely place to stay. We would highly recommend this Guest House if you want a night to remember.

Just got back from a two night winter break. Enjoyed staying here so much. Five star standard as everything is a very high quality.

A very warm welcome from Clare and Stu owners of this lovely accommodation that includes lots of nice touches such as comfortable guest lounges, honesty bar, DVD availability.

We stayed in Room 1 overlooking the Castle. Very nice room with comfortable large bed and fantastic large rain shower.

Breakfast was lovely and served in nice conservatory with good layout, beautiful furniture and nice view of the garden (when we stayed complete with a snow backdrop)

Excently located in the beautiful and friendly village of Warkworth we will definitely return.

We stayed at Roxbro House on the weekend of 13th Jan 2013 and I can confidently say this is the most gorgeous place I have ever stayed. Our room overlooked Warkworth castle, it was warm, luxurious and clean. Breakfast was lovely as were the extra touches provided i.e. fruit in the room, the Whiskey room and the mini bar. The hosts were genuine and welcoming and I would recommend this place without a doubt and will definitely visit again.

This was our second visit to Roxboro House and it was fabulous. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast which is of a very high standard. The style of Roxboro House is gorgeous- really luxurious and classy with beautiful antique furniture. It has 2 honesty bars with open fires which are really lovely to enjoy a drink in. We have stayed in both the Owners Suite and the Ethel Noble room- both were equally magnificent with huge beds, beautiful decor and my favourite the vintage claw foot baths- so relaxing. It is the little touches that really make your stay at Roxboro so fantastic- the homemade caramel squares in the lounge area and chocolate chip cookies and delicious dark chocloates in the bedroom, expensive toiletries, mini fridges with wine and fresh milk and dressing gown and slippers to name just a few. The beds are really comfortable and it is a delight to wake up to one of the delicious breakfasts- which is the nicest breakfast out of anywhere we have stayed including 5 star hotels and resorts! The owners are really friendly and helpful. Warkworth is a great little town, we always have a great time there. We will definitly be back again soon and have recommended Roxboro House to all our friends and family!

Only stayed for one night as a last minute night away from the kids and only 45 mins up the coast, absolutely fantastic luxury B&B and well worth every penny. We stayed in the Owner's suite which was even better and bigger than we thought, we enjoyed our short time in the suite, thoroughly relaxing night away. We also sampled the Fishermans platter and this was also very very nice, well worth it if you're happy just to stop in and chill as we did. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept well, the breakfast the next morning was also worth the wait, eggs cooked to perfection!!! The hosts were very welcoming and made the stay even better, definately will be returning and hopefully next time the Hot tub will be fully functional as only very slight blip in our stay but this could not be helped and certainly no fault of the very apologetic owners, would certainly recommend this top end B&B, thanks again!!!

We have just returned from a three-night stay at Roxbro House under the very attentive care of proprietors Claire and Stu. Claire and Stu provide a top class establishment with first class service, striking the perfect balance between courtesy and privacy to ensure guests are very well looked after during their stay at Roxbro.
We ordered the “afternoon tea” for the day of arrival, which was really enjoyable proving excellent value for money. Breakfast offers a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc. but it is the a la carte selection where very individual dishes complement the full English – the Haddock Hash is highly recommended Mr TBD had it three times.
When in Roxbro, we spent most of our relaxation time in the very cosy and “snug” Whisky Room, complete with roaring coal fire and comfortable leather wing chairs. The honesty bar is a great service offering a good selection of drink and nibbles. Our room (Room 2) was suggested by Claire as we were accompanied by our two dogs, it was very comfortable with plenty of space for ourselves plus the dogs. Our stay in Roxbro topped off a great Christmas/New Year period for us and the effort put in by Claire and Stu is greatly appreciated. Roxbro is the type of establishment that makes internet research worthwhile and is the kind of establishment in which we happy to spend our hard earned salaries.

We returned home from Roxbro House on New Years Day, staying for two nights to visit to our family who live in Warkworth. We had viewed the TV screening of Three in a Bed, so knew it was going to be a special stay but we weren't quite prepared for how special! The Xmas displays both outside and inside the house were so grand and welcoming - just beautiful Claire & Stewart!! We had taken our own decorations down so it was like having Xmas all over again, especially for our granddaughter age nine, it was so magical for her. We booked into two rooms, the much renowned Owner's Suite for my daughter and granddaughter - just perfect for them as there were two separate rooms on this floor and a bathroom. This suite is everything they say it is and certainly worth the extra cost!! My husband and I had Room1 which overlooked the castle, again beautiful and luxurious, although for those who like to sit at a dressing table to get ready, be prepared, there isn't one in this room. Nevertheless, there were mirrors inside the wardrobe with sockets for hair drier etc but I must admit I did struggle as the doors kept closing! This aside, our stay was very special and memorable. I should also mention the breakfast. Again, something special, & the rosti was to die for! We also used the beautiful resident's lounge at the front of the house in the evening and really enjoyed the fresh cake with our drink! Stewart, thanks again for your hospitality and for allowing our visiting family share this lounge with us, that meant a lot to us. Would we stay again? No doubt about it, just hope after reading all of these reviews that there will be availability when we do return!

Room Tip: Could not fault any room, although am aware that one of the rooms (Room 2?) is not ensuite. However...
