The moment we entered Katie and Paul's house they made us feel like old friends. We were shown to our lovely modern room and shower room, sparklingly clean, and offered a welcome refreshment. There was information about the surrounding area and a lovely refreshment tray, and the room was spacious and had ample room for our cases and clothes. Breakfast was delicious, beautiful fruits and a cooked breakfast stylishly presented and perfectly cooked. This should be a 5* bed and breakfast, we couldn't fault anything. Well done and thank you for making our stay a memorable one! Hope to be back soon..

This is a truly wonderful B & B with so many thoughtful touches. Katie is an excellent host who on our arrival made us very welcome and throughout our stay made sure that we enjoyed our holiday. We had a delightful spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished room which was of a very high standard. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice and presented very well. Katie is an excellent cook and is very keen to make sure that her guests enjoy their breakfast. Overall Westrigg is one of the best B & Bs that we have ever stayed at and we are sure that it only a matter of time before Katie wins an excellence award.

Previous reviewers have said it all; this B&B is simply outstanding . From the second one arrives, Katie exudes genuine warmth, professionalism and kindness as she welcomes you into her home and with no fuss makes you feel like a treasured guest. We were walking the St. Oswald's Way and were so grateful to sink into the comfort of Westrigg, enjoy the home made cake and appreciate every tiny detail of the beautifully appointed rooms. Breakfast was a highlight as it featured a beautiful fresh fruit salad of berries as well as the full English. The Visitors' book just glows with appreciative and well-deserved comments.

Having stayed in accommodation throughout the world, I can honestly say, that my friend and I having arrived with aching feet courtesy of St Oswalds Way, found that staying at Westrigg was just what the doctor ordered. Katie was a fabulous host, the rooms were immaculate, and despite passing numerous Hotels and B&B's in Warkworth en-route and wishing we didn't have to walk any further, it was well worth the extra effort. We got the bonus of shortening the next day's walk, and an enjoyable stroll into town past the castle that evening. The breakfast was delightful and the whole experience was a joy. Katie your B&B's the best!

This was our first visit to Westrigg and the previous reviewers (bar one who must have had a bad hair day) have said it all. A lovely and friendly welcome from Katie with tea and cake, an excellently appointed room, superb breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble. Westrigg is in a lovely and quiet position and on our first morning we had the additional delight of watching a red squirrel on the lawn. Katie and Paul are wonderful hosts and we will be returning.

We can not praise Westrigg too highly - Katie made us incredibly welcome into her lovely home and had provided everything we could possibly want in our room. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit options, and beautifully cooked . The room was very comfortable and decorated to a very high standard, and we slept well. Westrigg is in a quiet street on the outskirts of Warkworth - but we found it easy enough to use the footpaths to walk into the village in order to get an evening meal.
Extremely friendly and helpful, Katie really has a gift for hospitality.

This place is great - I can't recommend it highly enough! Katie and Paul are fantastic hosts in this really wonderful B&B - friendly, welcoming, helpful and kind - who make you feel totally welcome from the moment you arrive.
They've really thought of everything, all those finishing touches which make a difference - fresh flowers, piles of fluffy towels decorated with flowers and a chocolate, cosy robes for after a shower, advice on where to eat and visit, and thoughtful touches like a pen and paper when you need them as well as luxurious decor and beds. The elegant, comfortable and stylish rooms and lounge with real fire are the ideal place to relax and unwind.
The food is delicious, from seasonal fruits cooked to accompany imaginative and tasty breakfast choices to home-make cakes on arrival - I hadn't eaten this well at a B&B before coming to Westrigg!
Westrigg is in an idyllic location overlooking fields and only minutes walk along the banks of the tranquil river Coquet into the town centre with its medieval castle, boutiques, restaurants and pubs. Warkworth's a delightful town to explore and the beach is less than half an hour to walk or minutes in the car.
Perfect for a long weekend - Warkworth is beside some of Northumberland's most beautiful beaches, golf courses, the famous Alnwick Castle (as in Harry Potter) and Alnwick Garden. It's also half-way along St Oswald's Way for walkers - Katie was an angel and took my walking gear and washed and dried it ready for me to continue the journey - well beyond my expectations - thanks again Katie!.
