we have just spent a few days at westrigg and it was faultless.Katie and Paul are excellent hosts and immediately made us feel very welcome.we stayed in room 2 and it was immaculate, a lovely touch having the chocolate on the bedside tables. The breakfast was delicious, a great choice of cereals, fruits and yoghurts to start, then several choices of cooked breakfast to follow, the only difficult thing is what to choose.Expertly cooked and beautifully presented, couldn't fault it.
Sorry we forgot to fill in the visitors book before we left, we were to busy chatting about when we would be able to return, which we definitely will. Thanks for a great break and hope to see you again soon, Bev and Keith

Room Tip: there are only 2 rooms, we had room 2 which was perfect, i am sure room 1 will be equally as good.

My son and I have just returned from 2 nights at the wonderful Westrigg B&B in Warkworth. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The lounge and breakfast room was also lovely, really bright and fresh but also cosy! Paul made us feel so welcome and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed; he gave us loads of advice about things to do in the area, such as where would be the best place on the beach for my son to look in rock pools etc. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and really set us up for the days. We will certainly visit again.

We have recently just finished this walk from Hadrian's Wall to Lindisfarne and it was our very good fortune to stay 2 nights at Katie and Paul's place. We honestly think this is the best Band B we have stayed in. Katie greets you like a long lost friend and welcomes you with tea and home made cake to die for. The breakfasts are really superb and we like the fact that you order the night before from a very extensive list. The fresh fruit and home made preserves and compotes add to a great experience. To top it all you have exclusive access to a large lounge with top of the range TV should you want it and an extensive library of books on the region. Katie is a fount of knowledge about good places to eat and see - a walking tourist information bureau! In short perfection

Room Tip: Only 2 rooms, both superb

Myself and my husband would like to eulogise about Katie and her delightful bed and breakfast accommodation but I am afraid it has already been said in the previous reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot thank Katie enough for making us feel welcome. The recommendations of places to visit and also ideas of places to eat in the local area were invaluable. We are already desperate to return, and as we love the Northumbrian countryside and the coast in particular Katie will be getting another visit! There is no doubt that if you stay here and find fault you must be extremely difficult to please. So we would recommend if you would like to be made very welcome in stylish and comfortable surroundings, with an amiable and informative host, enjoy delicious and well presented breakfasts and stay in a fantastic location a short walk from the village of Warkworth, then Westrigg is the place to be.

A beautiful home with lovely gardens and good views. We were warmly welcomed by Katie who is full of helpful tips for the area. Nothing was too much trouble. Our ensuite bedroom was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and top quality produce. We made use of the garden and summer house in the stunning weather. Hopefully we will return in the not too distant future.

We are ex pats returning to UK for a holiday with a US friend along too. Westrigg could not offer any more than it does. Rooms are sparklingly clean and bright, bed so comfortable. Peaceful location, but only a short walk along the river into town. Fresh fruit and impeccably cooked breakfast set you up for long days of walking. I cannot think of any way to improve on what Katie and Paul provide. If I could think of something I am sure they would oblige with a smile. Consider yourself blessed if you are able to book in and enjoy Westrigg and Warkworth.
