Although the weather wasn't great the weekend my wife and i stayed at Mandys' superb house it was more than made up for with the superb accommodation and attention to detail that Mandy excels at. The little afternoon treat of cake in reception and complimentary water together with the incredible breakfasts that really set you up for the day makes this place special.
The location of the house is great....within walking distance of shops and pubs/restaurants. we had pre- booked a meal at Topsey Turveys which was nice but we had a meal at Warkworth house hotel which was poor...,the place looks the part but the content wasn't there.

Mandy's house is a great base for seeing the beautiful Northumberland area with a special mention to Alnwick and the Civil war re-enactment which was on display- the participants got extremely wet due to the poor weather but they "soldiered on" and put on a great show.

Fairfield Guest House is simply fantastic!

All I can say is wow! Our best B&B experience ever. Right from our friendly reception with a glass of red wine and olives and home made fairy cakes (delicious) to our departure three days later we received only the best and freindliest of attention. Mandy our host served up consistently the best breakfasts I've had at any B&B in the UK.and her mushrooms were to die for. The breakfast menu was varied and Mandy was always prepared to customise it to suit our taste that day.
The room was spacious, comfortable and well furnished having recently undergone a makeover. You are within easy walking distance of Warkworth but well away from the noise of passing traffic and also the superb Northumberland beaches were you can stretch your legs like Robinson Crusoe with no one else in sight!
I would certainly go back again and recommend it to all my friends. Don't just think about it book it, you won't be disappointed!

We were somewhat sceptical about all the excellent reviews for Fairfield Guesthouse. Having stayed in the newly decorated & furnished Room 1 from 7th to 9th June 2011, we can say all these complimentary reviews are utterly correct. There are at least another 20 excellent reviews entered each month in Mandy’s “Visitors Guest Book”. This is an utterly wonderful and magical place to stay in an area full of beauty and history. Mandy is a very special lady who has all the right attributes and more in seeing to your every need. Breakfasts are out of this world, the cleanliness of the whole guesthouse is second to none. All the rooms are of the highest standard.
Warkworth is a great place to stay for getting around Northumberland, it also has a fantastic local sandy beach stretching for miles, as well as beautiful walks around the river, town and castle. There are plenty of restraunts and pubs to wet your appetites.

Fairfield House is a beautiful, luxurious and very stylish B&B in Northumberland, with a delightful and relaxing garden. We recently stayed in the Garden Flat adjoined to the property, which is a lovely self-catering apartment decorated in a modern style and with every convenience to hand.

Mandy is a brilliant host - helping us get the very best out of our holiday by advising on what to see and do, and even helping with booking daytrips.

I would not hesitate to recommend Fairfield House!

I half expected there to be a 'catch' after reading the excellent feedback, but Fairfield House really IS superb. The second you walk through the door you know you're in for a great stay: clean, stylish rooms, huge bed and bathroom, generous bedding, lovely view (Mackintosh) and a relaxed host who is never intrusive but always available, and who gives you space to do what you want when you want. The breakfasts are cooked to order, and kept us going until about 3pm even when walking the coastal path, which is unknown!
It's just a 10-minute stroll into Warkworth and there are lots of interesting pubs that serve food in nearby villages if you want to explore a little.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review - it is really good for us to have such a terrific review on Trip Advisor . I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Fairfield House and hope we may get to welcome you back another time.

Warkworth looks beautiful with all this snow, but it is really too much too soon! I hope you are not struggling with it at the moment.

Kind regards,
Mandy

This is our second stay at Mandys fantastic house. Nothing changes....excellent breakfasts, beautiful rooms and attentive service.

The guesthouse is superbly located...in a quiet location on what appears to be the most exclusive road in Warkworth. Its only a 5 minute walk to the centre of the village AND close to pubs and restaurants.
We had pre booked a meal at Topsey Turveys which was excellent ..Recommend you book before you visit as it is extremely popular and quite small inside but they had a Halloween theme going on which was very impressive...the kids loved it.Hermitage inn also nice and good meals served.
Warkworth is superbly located for all attractions and activities. Would recommend a day around St Abbs head- if the sun is shining there are some great walks. Also Holy Island...check the tide times ...the castle is great and free for National trust members. Also Howick Gardens- the cream teas are to die for? A fantastic break!!!!
