We visited this mountain village [over 1,000 metres] several times during our winter stay and always ate here as well as staying in the excellent modestly priced two bedroom accommodation above the cafe. Stunning evening and dawn views in all weathers. Wonderful varied food, Good free WiFi [pronounced "wiffy" in Spanish] with the two owner managers always so pleased to help and speaking excellent English as well as German and Greek. One tip - take the No.18 Global Bus from Maspalomas [6 euros each way] rather than drive, so all can enjoy the scary hairpin bends and amazing two hours of views including that over to Mount Teide on neighbouring Tenerife.. The Almond blossom in Jan/Feb equals any to be seen in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco.
