Palm island is a great place to visit. The flight to union island was amazing, the staff at palm island are great. It was not crowded, my wife and I spent a lot of time on the beach BY OURSELVES......that was great , it was like it was our own personal island. Chris the GM is great, just ask and you shall receive. The food was great.....don't forget to ask for the nachos at the sunset grill. Would love to go back.

My husband and I ventured to Palm Island for our honeymoon. I found the destination on line and fell in love. It was everything I hoped and more when we arrived. Palm had a crew at teh Union Island airport to pick us up and get all of our luggage. The manager, Chris, was so accomodating. He was waiting on the dock when our boat arrived, along with Kenroy (the bartender) and a host. Kenroy had Palm's famous "Rum Punch" on a tray waiting for us. We were escorted to our beachfront room (Stay in 7 or 8, they are closest to teh bar and the best view of the crystal clear water). We didn't even have to check in until teh next day after breakfast. I cannot write in this review how amazing and unforgettable the entier experience was. The weather and sights were gorgeous. The staff was PHENOMENAL and the massage was to die for. The food was wonderful... all served to you, no buffet styles. Our wine glasses never got half empty and they never stiffed you on any cocktail (usually too strong!). Our bed was turned down every night for us when we got in. There are few rooms, which means few guests. We loved feeling like we were the only two people there. Bikes, snorkeling gear, and kayaks were all free. Just grab and go. There was live music at night, bands, bongos, a barbeque on night, and a carriban nigth which we loved. It felt family like and very warm. There are five secluded beaches and hammocks placed up in coves, very private. We had a champagne pcinic lunch in hammock 4 (the most private!) twice in which he staff delivered it there when you wanted it to arrive. The Hobie sail around the island is complimentary. Must do that! Snorkeling was great (take the catamarran). We also did a sunset champagne cruise that was very surreal. The resort was beautiful, someone was woking on it everyday... very manicured! Chris came around every nigth and talked to us about our day and gave great suggestions for things to do. There is no shopping, the rooms aren't plush. Its all very island themed and we loved that! There is one computer and one tv on the island, and interestingly, no one was ever on it! Madonna, Anthony, and LaFeisha were our favorite staff!!! Sea tutles were fun to see and all sorts of neighboring islands! We were so sad to leave!!!

My husband and I traveled to Palm Island for our honeymoon. We were a bit apprehensive due to the remote location. Once we landed on Union Island and made our way by boat to Palm..we were in awe.
Pulling up to the dock, one cannot get past the beautiful palm lined beach and the cheerful staff meeting you with drinks. The rooms are not the Ritz Carlton but once you get the feel for the island, you then understand why things are the way they are!!
When people say "nothing to do" on the island, I disagree!! My husband and I found plenty. The island is small but there are so many hidden treasures. See bottom of this posting if you are athletic and worried about getting in your workouts!!!
As for the food, staff, atmosphere and amenities...perfect. Again, do not go with high expectations...you will be disapointed. Remember you are on a remote island without grocery stores, banks, bars and etc.. The island is perfect for what it was intended to do..and that is require people to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The Staff: Chris is Amazing (don't drink his homemade rum!! oh boy.), Kudos to Sweet Luke, Bar Master Kenroy, To-Tall Anthony and Stern Olive. Get to know them and they will be at your beckon call. Ignore them and they will ignore you...just name your poison.
If you like to be anonymous, you can be. But you will find that hor'dourve hour is such a great time to meet people.....like Susan McDrinkdrink and Downtown On The Beat Tommy..so at the end of the day, stay inside the box and it is what it is...they were fun!!
Suggested excursions are ...snorkeling with turtles on Pink Lady (shorter trip than Yanni) and private picnic at hammock #2!! If you venture to hammock #3 , look on the roof. We discovered that a coral means you enjoyed each other in one way and a conch shell means you enjoyed in another way...hmmmmmmm.
EXCERSISE: Alright, I admit I cannot relax very long. Here are some ideas for the athletic...Run the island on the dirt path a few times, at mid point of run, run up Iguana Hill then over to Point Look Out with push ups on the green patch. Use the picnic table at Hammock #1 for step up lunges. Head over to the Turtle Sanctuary and do push ups in the grass. Then hop on one of the cruiser bikes for 3 spins around the island and you have a good hour of workout under your belt. As an alternative, you can swim the beach line from "dock to rock" then jump in the kayak for a spin back and forth along the western side as well.. Believe me ...the amount of food you eat there will kill your mid section. oooohhh don't forget Tea at 4pm, the sandwiches and cookies are yummy!!
Dont forget to get a facial at the spa..and visit with Doc..he is the only island resident. He is really cool to chat with.
Choose Palm Island, enjoy and relax!!

We cannot begin to express the overall positive experience(s) we had while vacationing at the Palm Island Resort. We can say for certain the staff was the nicest, friendliest, and most professional we've ever experienced while vacationing - period. I cannot recall when all the staff, from the guest check-in to the grounds keepers knew me and my wife's name, where we were from, etc. For once we felt like we were their purpose.

I'd like to pay special recognition to the Resort Manager, Chris. As a business manager interaction with your guest, developing relationships and delivering above the promised will always win customers for life. I personally would love to have as many associates as possible with his attitude.

I took an unscientific pole during general conversation with the staff and without hesitation they all admire and respect his work ethic, honesty and integrity. Palm Island is very fortunate to have such as manager and staff.

We will be returning to Palm Island in the future. And we will continue to tell others when considering a true "get away from it all" vacation destination

My husband and I visited Palm Island from 7th Sept - 13th Sept and we had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. From the moment you reach the docks at Palm Island the staff makes you feel like the most special guests there (a feeling which stayed with us throughout our vacation). The island is absolutely spectacular with breathtaking beaches with crystal clear water. The staff were beyond compare. Special mention has to be made of Luke, Anthony, Kenroy, Francis and Joniel who all made our stay very special. All the drinks we sampled from the bar were great and the bar staff does all that they can to ensure that you are well taken care of. The bar does not close at any particular time, it closes when the last guest leaves which gives you an idea of the level of committment of the staff in making your holiday the best ever. Kenroy stayed up with us at the bar until 1:30 one morning as we had met other great guests that night. The food was fantastic, we had no complaints. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had no issues with the AC or lighting as the other reviews indicated. All in all it was our best vacation ever and we have been to quite a few places in the Caribbean. I would recommend Palm Island, SVG to anyone who is looking for a completely relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

We clebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at the Palm Island Resort. We had a private bungalow with an ocean view. When I go back, I would ask for the same room! We had a great time! The island is pristine and beatuiful. The staff was beyond compare! They were over the top nice, courteous and accomodating. We felt like we were the only two people there, and yet, met many wonderful guests during our stay. The food was good and the drinks flowed. The manager of the resort greeted us every day. The getting there takes some time, but it was all worth it when we got there. We had a wonderful time!!!
