Awesome vacation! Journey was rough, considering our first flight was delayed which offset our entire vacation by 24 hrs, but Elite Island took care of everything... They even contacted our 2nd hotel (which they don't even work for)& made sure the hotel could accommodate our new dates. But Palm Island is wonderful. The staff takes the time to get to know all the guests. The management socialized with all guest nightly. You can make it whatever vacation you want. If you want to be alone with your spouse or socialize with others at the bar...this resort is perfect & it's gorgeous! I was a beach bum with cocktails while my husband was active with diving excursions. We also visited happy island & took the yannis excursion. The rooms are sufficient (not luxurious) but we were rarely in our room during the day. This place was too pretty to take daytime naps and i love to nap on vacation. "Off" Bug spray & industrial bug spray for the room is included in the room. The only bug issue I had were gnats. The bars / restaurants had extra Off on hand if u needed any. Check in: is in the reception area (not in your room as another review stated) & they ask for a copy of your reservation so *BRING a copy of your reservation*. Also, the boat ride from union island is a 5 min boat ride. Beds were comfy, great housekeeping, great massage, great water pressure & great A/C. Everything was perfect. Don't forget the sunscreen, we had to buy extra sunscreen & it was only $16 in gift shop...we've seen it marked up a lot more at other resorts. Overall great experience, we definitely will be returning.

We chose to go to Palm Island to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary and couldn't have chosen a
better place to go. The beach front room was excellent, the food was not too rich and the portion sizes sensible. Cleanliness of rooms was superb and the towel models were great fun, we had
two swans kissing on our anniversary. The staff are lovely, friendly and nothing is too muchy
trouble for them. The hammocks are great fun, especially hammock No. 3 which is totally secluded at one end of a very beautiful beach. Plenty to do or not entirely up to you, tennis, table tennis, billiards, golf? island style, cycling, running round the island as long as you are up early, and plenty of water sports. A trip on the Scaramouche is the one to do, with snorkelling with the turtles just amazing and an excellent lunch provided from the small galley. We would certainly consider a return visit. The only downside were the blackbirds at meal times, they became a proper nuisance by the time our holiday was near its conclusion.

Room Tip: Beachfront without hesitation

Getting there is a trek because Palm Island is in the Grenadines and very remote-which is part of its charm. Once there, take a deep breath and let the lovely members of the staff pamper and spoil you!! Our suite was perfect-huge bath, wet bar, lanai, and a most comfortable bed. Meals are sumptuous-best soup "in the world" as the chef says. Wonderful pool with a waterfall! Lots of sun with lots of island breezes to cool you.Activities for those who want to be busy but for those of us who want to relax and just "being" it is heaven.

Room Tip: Choose a suite-the little extra you pay is worth it!

The most unpretentious hotel in the Caribbean. No fine dining (which we've usually had more than enough of after a few days) but more like Caribbean home cooking. The cocktails are excellent and endless as is the helpfulness of the staff - all 90 of them. The beaches are deserted most of the day as is the pool.

Room Tip: Rent the best one you can afford.

Stumbled across Palm Island resort at he beginning of the year and decided it would be a perfect place to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday - and I was completely proved correct.

Katie is the new Manager in charge and together with her Team makes sure your break is perfect in every way. They have perfected the art of being visible / accessible and therefore on hand should you want a chat or advice or in the background should you want to be left alone. her assistant, Anthony, is equally good and lights the place up with his humour, attitude and height!

The accommodation is good (we chose the beach fronted rooms) and they were spacious clean and well equipped.

Despite being All Inclusive, the method in delivering this is far far better than the usual buffet / stack your plate high with mediocre food. All meals including breakfast are a la carte with daily chef's specials - the portions are sensible and the quality high. Congratulations to chef Bakka for delivering such constant high quality.

Similarly the bar drinks are all branded and the bar staff (mainly Johnny & Kendol) are great guys.

I can thoroughly recommend the Yannis catamaran trip to Mayreau / Tobago Cays excellent value great food and drink and he snorkelling is very good, especially with the turtles and rays.

One word of advice, due to the unavoidable possibility of luggage arriving after you do (completely out of control of the resort), take a change of clothes for the first day and sun cream - I am living proof that you can burn in the shade(!) That said, to demonstrate the level of care, on hearing about my self-inflicted stupidity, Katie disappeared for 10 minutes and then promptly returned with a plate of fresh Aloe!

Absolute peaceful, secure, luxury. First class first service, friendly staff (right down to the grounds staff) excellent food.

There can be a few sand flies / mosquitoes but during the ten days we were there I was bitten half a dozen times (because I don't usually get bitten and adopted a rather blasé attitude to the use of bug spray) my wife wasn't bitten at all - because she did! The resort provide spray for the rooms and yourself. DON'T be put off by the prospect of being bitten it really wasn't an issue in my opinion.
