“"Perfect Getaway"”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

From the moment we stepped onto the ferry at Union Island we felt most welcomed by our gracious host Horace. We were then escorted to our Seagrape suite which was even more amazing and spacious than pictured. We were very impressed by the fact that we did not have to formally check in until the next morning. After a full day of traveling, it was a most appreciated gesture to be able to enjoy our accomodation without any hassle.

The staff was extremely attentive, courteous, and always genuinely caring. In particular we would like to mention Horace, Grafton, Sandrina, Modica, Kevin, Anthony, and Kashionta, for their kindness.

The beach was exquisite, the meals sublime, and the trip to the Tobago Cays on the Yannis was the highlight for us. We recommend Palm Island without hesitation.

Sorry it's taken so long to write this review but better late than never! We visited this beautiful island in April and were lucky enough to stay there for a week. We stayed in a beach front villa. It was clean and comfy but the bathroom needs updating!Having said this we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time here. All the staff were very friendly and Horace, the manager ensured we were well looked after. We had a lovely holiday on this beautiful island and I would recommend this resort to all my friends.

My husband and I decided to go to Palm Island for our honeymoon. It was perfect! We loved every minute of our stay. The manager, Horace, was wonderful. He spoke with us on a daily basis to make sure everything was going well. The wait staff was superb and the food was delicious!! We went deep sea fishing with Capt Albert. He was great! Then, Chef Baka prepared our fresh catch for dinner that evening! We enjoyed our excursion on the Yannis; swimming with the sea turtles. That was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the pool, the cycling, the gorgeous beaches and snorkling! We will be returning in the future! Well worth every penny!

My husband and I visited Palm Island at the end of July and have totally fallen in love with the whole resort. If you want some where you can really relax and unwind, enjoy beautiful meals and meet wonderful people, then Palm Island is place to go.
We enjoyed the seclusion of the white beaches, the bike rides around the island, the boat trip to Union Island, swimming with turtles and the wonderful caring staff. We went in low season and the weather was beautiful with the only rain falling during the night. The hotel organised a trip to St Vincent for us, we travelled there by fast ferry (2 hour journey) via several of the local islands, and we were driven around St Vincent by taxi driver Richard. we also visited the botanical gardens and had a lovely roof top meal in a local hotel. The only thing I would suggest is that you need to ensure that you are prepared for the Mosquitos, take repellent with a high factor of deet. We will be going back. Thank you Horace and all the staff for a wonderful holiday. Mark and Mandy.

This place is simply heaven! From being greeted off the boat by the manager Horace (who, incidentally, comes around to speak to you at almost every meal time to see if everything is okay) to being seen off at the end of the holiday, again by Horace, it's all just perfect. Food is good and plentiful, there is an excellent choice of top shelf spirits at the bar and the service is good too. The beach is straight from a picture-postcard view of a desert island - wonderful soft sand, warm Caribbean sea, and surrounded by palm trees. I can't really improve on all the superlatives offered by other reviewers but there is one thing you should bear in mind: forget the insect repellents you normally bring from home as none of them will combat the sand flies on Palm - they just seem to eat it! However, the hotel supplies its own repellent called 'Off!' which is the only effective solution to what is an absolute torment if you go out unprotected. There is also a spray called 'Bop' for your room, again supplied by the hotel, which you should use every day to rid the room of any 'invaders'. When you run out simply notify reception and they will arrange for a new supply to be taken to your room.

As for guests, while we were there there seemed to be a mix of younger Americans (a lot of them honeymooners) and older Brits and most people mixed and got on well together. This is not a resort that attracts the raucous or badly behaved (thank heaven) and so there was never a problem there. And because we were there at low season it was very quiet - at one point we were down to about 16 of us!

We met some incredibly nice folks there and our only regret is that we never really got to know the couple we traveled home with on the 6th August until the day we departed (Sharon - independent school teacher and ??? [sorry, memory not so good these days] who owns his own kitchen business) both from Southend-on-Sea. Thanks to their company the long journey back to Gatwick was made infinitely more bearable!

Staff are all attentive and I would not single out any one as they were all great.

We could not find fault with anything on Palm and we will definitely go back at some time in the future. Yes it is a bit more expensive than any normal holiday destination but it's worth every penny of it, so if you're having any doubts about booking them please dispel them and book now!

As ever, I will be delighted to answer any questions .

this was our fourth visit to Palm Island, and we are already planning our fifth. For us this is paradise found. We would not travel half way round the world time and time again if this was not a very special place. Every year we find something more to rave about and more to do. We enjoy particularly the tranquility and peace that staying on the island offers us. The resort and staff enhance this. Everything is close but so discretely organised that we always feel private and tranquil. The staff also manage to read your mind and are aware when you want to be chatty, and when you want to be left alone. No one is pushy, and everyone is friendly. The food at the resort is exceptionally good. The portions are just the right size and, despite being a vegetarian, I never run out of options to choose from. Chef Baka and his team are fabulous! The housekeeping team are always on top of keeping the rooms clean and tidy and there is a never ending supply of tea; coffee; soft drinks; towels; shampoo; soap; and insect repellant. if you do run short, all you have to do is mention it to reception and supplies are instantly replenished. You do, however, need to bring everything else that you want personally with you - don't rely on buying everything you need from the shop because it is very limited.

Our days are always filled with cycling to the various beaches on the island (you hardly ever see anyone else!), eating, reading, swimming and snorkelling. If you are looking for a high adventure resort, then this pace is not for you!

We can't mention everyone, but our thanks this year go to Cordella (for keeping our room so clean); Sandrina (for the lovely chats); Alex and Luke (for making meal times fun); and of course Horace for keeping the resort at the standard it is. and of course Chef Baka!

Needless to say, we will be back next July - and we hope Grafton is not on vacation again because we missed him this year!!

No tv, phone, radio, internet, just the sound of waves crashing on our private beach. The food was excellent and served in small portions which is perfect because we hate to see food go to waste. If you have an all-you can eat appetite all you have to do is order twice or three times. The staff at every corner of the resort were more than accommodating and very friendly. We recommend this to anyone who wants to disconnect from it all and see natures beauty at every turn. One of the many highlights was letting baby sea turtles go into the sea and also swimming with larger turtles in their natural habitat - unforgettable.
