“PARADISE!!!!!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

just returned from Palm Island again, our 7th visit to date!!! we are never disappointed, this is truely the best, most beautiful island hoilday you could wish for. The scenery is beautiful, the white sand beaches and turquoise blue sea perfection! It is clam, tranquil and very relaxing.
Exploring the island you discover several hidden beaches, where you can just take in the beautiful sea views from the hammocks placed perfectly for chilling and watching to waves roll in!!
The staff are the best, so helpful making you feel so welcome and really go out of their way to make sure you have the best time. Chris the manager is always there to help and check you are having a great time, as are all the staff - especially Grafton, Monica, Sandrina, and Madonna!
The food is stunning, always fresh, delicious and beautifully presented by top chef BAKA.... the catch of the day was always delicious! You have a choice of two restaurants both excellent quality, one slightly less formal.

As you would expect Palm trees everywhere, the wildlife mainly consisting of iguanas roaming freely across the island are both fascinating and friendly!

This really is a hidden jewel of the Caribbean... and we can't wait to return again!!!

Room Tip: to be honest they are all fabulous rooms, over the years we have stayed in every type and would be v...

Spent one week in August as part of our honeymoon. Stayed in a Palm view room which was large and lovely (although quite dark).
The whole island is beautiful. We cycled around the island every day and explored the other beaches. Loved the iguanas! There is never a fight for sun beds at the pool of the main beach and the whole resort is peaceful and relaxing. The main beach is lovely. The sea is clean and clear but it gets deep quickly.
All of the staff we friendly and attentive - they really could not work any harder!! The food was great and there was plenty of it!
Amazing stay and would love to return!

Just got back from Palm Island and have to say it was one of the best vacations my wife and I have had. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is amazing. This is the perfect place to really disconnect from the hustle and bustle of every day stresses and responsibilities most of us face. This gem of an island has some of the most beautiful clear water we have ever seen throughout the Caribbean. The sunsets are breath taking and spectacular. I would recommend the Scaramouche excursion, it is a pirate ship used in the first movie ,Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain Barry and his crew are super. They sail to the Tobago Cays and swimming with sea turtles is just awesome. The Cays are a snorkeling paradise. Back on Palm Island, you can take a bike ride and go discover several hidden beaches that you can explore on your own. Lots of hammocks around for some chill time while listening and watching the ocean waves coming in.
Special thanks to all the staff, they go out of their way to make your vacation wonderful. Extra special thanks to Chris,Sandrina,Dexter,Kenny and Kevin.

I was cruising the Grenadines by boat with friends and family and happened to stop at Palm Island on Saturday for lunch. The beach and the sea were spectacular! We had lunch at the restaurant for visitors ( they have a separate restaurant for residents) and enjoyed a delicious meal. Some of us had the quesadillas and others had gazpacho soup or spring rolls amongst other things. All was delicious. The cocktails and daiquiris were great too, virgin and otherwise.
Best of all was the staff. They all were smiling with a sense of humour, the service was quick and attentive, and their uniforms were crisp, clean and attractive, khaki skirts with tropical shirts and khaki slacks for the men. The architecture was very appropriate for the Caribbean and felt very welcoming, not stuffy or pretentious like some island resorts.
Best moment was when lovely waitress named Madonna treated us to a couple of songs acapello when my husband asked if she could sing!. Lovely voice and a smile to match! I gather she entertains the hotel guests a couple of nights a week.
Highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of a visit to the Caribbean. Also, the manager is charming and couldn't be more helpful.

Let me start by saying my husband and I don't normally go for the all inclusive resort, but this came up on one of our deal finders and it was just to good to pass up, plus it gave us one more stamp in our passports. Nevertheless, as far as all-inclusives go, it is the best one we've ever been too. It caters more to the European crowd than the american crowd and it serves mostly the very wealthy. We were neither, but still enjoyed ourselves immensely.
If you want a place with all the electronic bells and whistles of TV, cell phone reception and internet access this place may not be for you. There is one TV on the island and internet access is available at reception and in the library only. If however, you want to escape all of this, you won't find a better spot to do it. The island is 7 miles long, all privately owned with dirt pathways and trails throughout and you'll always have an iguana to keep you company. There is a yellow press library on the premises, along with a pool table, ping-pong, catamarans, kayaks, shuffleboard, pool, trusty rusty iron steeds, aka bicycles, a little shop for necessities, a spa, two restaurants and a bar. And the beaches and snorkeling right out your front door can't be beat. So if you're bored you have no one to blame but yourself.
The food was good though a little on the bland side for us. I especially liked the halibut and it seems we had the delicious spring rolls at just about every lunch. The service was always steller, everyone being so kind. The night life was fun with something going on at least three of the seven nights we were there.
We stayed in a mini-suite and loved it. We had champagne and fruit waiting for us upon arrival and a bottle of wine chilling the fridge. In fact the mini fridge was always stocked with an assortment of drinks.
Probably the highlight of the trip for us though was the sail aboard the Yannis catamaran to Mayreau and the Tobago Cays. We made three snorkeling stops, one at Mayreau, one to swim with turtles and one in the marine reserve of the Tobago Cays. It was without a doubt the best snorkeling I have ever done and I've snorkeled Curacao, Belize, BVI, AVI, Barbados, Turks and Caicos and St. Lucia. I chased a sting ray, saw nurse sharks, schools of squid and so much more. And the Yannis was great.
So overall a great place to unwind.

Room Tip: We really liked the mini suites just by the bar.

Private island in the southern carribean with first class service, friendly staff, and awesome island mates....
A beautiful main beach and very quiet beaches around the island that you can ride bikes to. Amazing view from our over sized room.
If you want pure relaxation, with no one bothering you, come here. You will not be dissapointed...
(went Aug of 2011 but forgot to write a wonderful)
Tips:
-A must do is swimming with the turtles in the Tobago Cays. We took the pink lady- small boat with 2 other couples. They sail you to the islands - and you get to run around the island where they filmed Pirates of the Carribean.
-If you like hot sauce- try Erica's, its yum yum yum- we put that [--] on everything.
-Bring bug spray for your legs (as with most tropical places- if you have sweet blood, your feet will be a tasty treat for the little sand fleas)
-Bring plane snacks as its a bit of a journey to get there... Fly to Barbados, Prop plane with multiple stops until you get to union island, then a ferry ride to your oasis.

My wife and I never go to all inclusive resorts--We usually rent a flat, and fend for ourselves. However, this time around we choose to give the resort route a try again. Palm Island has to be, by far, one of the nicest I've stayed at in the Caribbean. Try to get a beach front room, preferably # 7, 8, or 9. With those, you can literally walk directly out to the beach. As well, the best snorkeling in the island (and it is QUITE good) is directly in front of those rooms. The staff is amazingly friendly, though some of the quests can be a bit snooty. The food is OK--it is toned down fair for European tastes, so you really don't get the flavors of the island spices, but... Chris, the property manager, seems to truly have the guests best interests at heart. Again, if you like resorts, this one is hard to beat!
