Stayed with my children and disabled elderly mother for a few nights. Tony was very accommodating and chose a site for us that was next to the amenities for my mother. Site 1. The site was large enough for our tents and car but with being so close to the dining room area - 1 foot away - we encountered a few issues. Noise was the main one, past 10pm. Tony did come and ask the guests to keep the noise down but it still continued. We were thankful though that this was acknowledged by the hosts. The second night, again more noise, loud booming drunk voices and then rain (not the campsites fault!!). Our tent pitch was next to a small drain area that loudly dripped until it flooded us at about 1am (Apologies to the couple in the camper next to us who heard and saw us bailing our possessions into the car). We decided that with the noise and no other suitable pitches for my disabled mother, to leave a night early. We lost the money for that last night. Whilst it does say the no refunds are given for an early departure I am unhappy about losing this

On leaving explained to the hosts about the noises issues. It was impossible to move to a further site as my mother needed to be close to the amenities with being disabled. There was a pavilion with toilets further down the bottom of the campsite but this was out of order. It's a shame that we left but we didn't really have any other alternative and lost $48. Unfortunately guests noise levels can't be controlled all the time so we really did feel for Tony and Bridgette as this seems to be a reoccurring problem here.

The kitchen is not disabled friendly, with a step to the entrance so if you are in a wheelchair or have mobility difficulties then you might find it very difficult to gain entry into the Kitchen, which is cleaned impeccably each day. There is only one oven and the day we arrived we couldn't use it until late as there was over 10 people trying to cook and use it. There are lots of hobs on the top and loads of sinks. The kitchen also has an array of mismatched pots, pans, cups, plates etc which is super handy. Maybe i could suggest a charging port so that all the plugs are not being used. The overflow of charging phones, tablets even made it to the female bathrooms.

The shower block, which is also cleaned impeccably each day is well set out. Hot water will cost you but there is always the option to rough it and have a cold one. There is also the option for a bath, which you don't see at most campgrounds.

All facilities are shut between 10-12pm, kitchen, toilets etc which makes it awkward for those lazing on the site during the day as they are out of bounds.

The children's playground is basic but adequate and not secure to the park. It is open to the general public and backs onto an open public rugby field which doubles as an overflow carpark for the marina. There is a Skatepark advertised on the website but on closer inspection was just a ramp.

The Holiday park is secure at the front, with pin barrier and gate but the bottom end is open onto an exposed public playing field and the marina which means anyone can walk on and around the site including the playground, facilities and pitch areas.

This Park is more suited and set up for trampers rather than families with disabled members.

Room tip: Sites 1 and 2 are next to kitchen so are quite noisy. Also if it rains the gully by the side of dining room area floods.

We are so sorry to hear of some negative experience with us.
We strive hard to keep our facilities up to a top standard and always accommodating, Tony did ask you on numerous occasions if you where happy with your spot, you did say all was fine. I'm sure we would've moved you to another more suitable spot. We really appreciate all feedback, so please feel free to give us a call so we can talk to you. :)
Kind regards Tony & Brigitte.

Booked two powered sites alongside each other and had plenty of room for two large tents, 2 kayaks, trailer and two cars. Stayed for two weeks. Tony and Brigitte are great hosts. Facilities clean. Only gripe is that all facilities are closed for cleaning simultaneously from 10:00 - 12:00. Would probably be better to stagger cleaning of facilities. Will visit again. Paul Bryant

Brigitte is very friendly and helpful - had a nice powered site, lot of space and dry even if ists raining. For showers you have to pay, but everything is very clean and the water is hot. Wifi with a voucher no problem, but limited. Very close to the port (walking distance)! Brigitte gives us a lot of recommendations where to go out for lunch/dinner. Thank you Brigitte

Lovely place to stay over New Year. The camping ground was fully booked and busy during this time. The kitchen at times was too crowded - the microwave was next to the fridge, at times people had to get out of the way for others to access one of the appliances. The shower/toilet facilities were kept clean and tidy throughout this busy time. It was a lovely place to relax and very handy to the village centre.

Arrived just after Christmas for a one night stay so place was busy. Our powered site was tiny and pretty unappealing being completely gravel and with other vans very close by. Not somewhere you really wanted to hang out in. There were two picnic tables outside the kitchen and bbq which tended to be busy.
Had to pay for showers ($1, 8 minutes) but the water was hot and the bathrooms clean. Cold showers for free were available in the sports complex next door.
Wifi was expensive.
Central location
Nice welcome from managers.
Same price as all the other holiday parks we stayed in but our least favourite.

Sorry you didn't have a great experience with us, the camp was extremely busy during that time. We will be looking into upgrading sites and facilities for next year. Many thanks for the feedback.
Kind regards Tony & Brigitte.
