“FABULOUS HOTEL - WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
Reviewed May 17, 2010

We recently had our wedding reception (April 2010) in the Corick House Hotel and we could not speak highly enough of this hotel. It is a family run business and we found both management and staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and we had over 200 guests who would also agree.

The new reception extenstion is very impressive and its decor is very tastefully done in keeping with the traditional style of the house. We chose this hotel mainly because they only cater for one wedding per day which we felt was very important. The function room is amazing with views from every window overlooking Clogher Valley. The garden is an added bonus with lovely features such as a walled garden and fountain so we had lots of photo opportunities. It also meant that our guests could stay with us as we did'nt have to travel elsewhere to take photographs.

The food and service was first class. Plently of everything both during the main meal and the buffet. Many of our guests have said it was the best wedding meal and service that they've ever had. NOT ONE COMPLAINT!

We would like to thank the owner Jean and her staff especially Avril and Sinead for taking care of our special day. Everything went smoothly and we would highly recommend this hotel for any function but is especially perfect for a wedding. We have already been back for a meal with friends and both Jean, Avril and Sinead took the time to come over to us and congratulate us which was a really lovely touch that meant so much to the both of us :)

We would particulary like to say a big 'Thank You' to Sinead who took care of us from the initial booking of our wedding right through to the actual day. We could not speak highly enough of her. She was extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble and went out of her way to help us - a true gem.

We could not believe the negative comments as we certainly did not come across any problems. We could not speak higly enough of this hotel, its management and staff.

Overall, this hotel offers everything, great location, great food and above all a personal service that is second to none. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed!!!

just a quick review to explain how beautiful and corick house is. i have my wedding booked to take place in july 2010 so we had to take a day to go up to it and look around and get plans in order.
i havent seen the place in over a year from i booked my weeding and as soon as we drove up in the car i was blown away. it has undergone a massive transformation. it was beautiful previous to this but now......WOW. new frontage, new reception, the new wedding function room is out of this world.. Breathtaking.
the girl who dealt with us was called joanne, she was lovely, very profesional and very friendly. i definately would reccommend this place to everyone, especially those for their wedding day - with the building and the immaculate grounds, it is every brides dream. cant wait to july

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception at Corick House Hotel and we were very pleased indeed with the attentiveness and care taken by the management and staff to ensure that we had a pleasant day and that our guests (many of whom had travelled from down south) were taken care of.

The location of Corick House is excellent and well situated in beautiful Clogher valley and we were blessed with a beautiful day which only added to the beauty of the surrounding area and made for some excellent wedding photographs. The recent additions to the reception area and the new function room are very much in keeping with the overall tradtional style of the house and we were most impressed. The decor is very much an old world style and any changes made have been faithful to the style of the original house.

One of the main reasons we chose this hotel for our wedding function was the function room, which is big, bright and has the most amazing chandeliers, with a beautiful view looking out over Clogher Valley. In addition there is a beautiful garden which our guests were happily sipping champagne in before the meal and the overall setting is excellent.

The bridal suite was very plush, very ornate and the four poster bed was a nice touch, however the bathroom might need to be waterproofed (wallpaper peeling off the wall).

We found the staff and management to be very customer orientated and the owner is extremely hands on and a shrewd operator. Whilst she didnt mince her words, what she promised in terms of the quality of our food and service, she more than delivered on. A particular word of thanks to Mrs. Beacom for her taxi duties late on in the night, she drove a number of our guests back to their own accomodation after the wedding, which was above and beyond the call of duty.

The staff were very helpful and considerate to our own and our guests needs and they aimed to please. A particular word of thanks to Paula, Sinead (our MC on the evening) and to Avril for their kindness shown and their assistance throughout our planning and on the day itself.

The food and service were both of first class standard and many of our guests reported afterwards that it was one of the best meals they have ever had at a wedding, so top marks for Corick House on that score.

Overall, we would definitely recommend Corick House Hotel for a wedding reception as it represents excellent value for money, is homely and very family orientated. We'll definitely be returning for Sunday lunches.

Both on business and leisure with family I have visited this hotel on at least ten occassions in the past five years, mainly for meals, and I have witnessed this hotel grow and expand. On all visitsI have always been impressed by management, and staff , nothing too much problem, the owner always taking time to speak to visitors and explaining the history of the house, and her family something similar. The quality and quanity of the food excellent and if you require anything connected to the meal it is quickly brought to the table.Beautiful gardens surround the front of the house and breathtaking views into the Clougher valley. My latest visit on St Patricks day along with my boss and one hundred coach passengers for evening meal, was again excellent, fast service at the tables, food served of a high quality, not one complaint heard from anyone in our party, and the usual comment was"great place, great food and helpful and efficent staff". One, of the owners daughters took time after the meal to mingle with her guests talking to them. Judging by the number of leaflets and brouchers taken from the hotel by the passengers show that the majority intend to return . I certainly will be back shortly with my wife and family for an evening meal. Having read some of the recent reviews which i believe after reading them, that these were false and malicious probably the work of a rival business or previous or disgruntled staff and if so you are shameful. The hotel will be even better when the new reception and improvements are completed. Dont just read the comments go and check the hotel for yourself and i believe you wont be disapointed. All the best for the future to the owner and staff of Corrick House, see you soon.

Ive Just returned from our wedding at Corick house, and felt I had to write a review, which in my opinion shows the real side of this hotel.
I felt the staff and management were truely outstanding, from day one of planning my wedding, they have been utterly amazing and forthcoming! I cant believe some of the other reviews other people have left. This is a small family run hotel and I felt all the staff were extremely pleasant, all my 160 guests would agree! Everyone on the day commented on the food, which was amazing and the bar staff were great fun, especially Delmar...who is a master at shots!!!
The rooms were all tastefully decorated and Breakfast was gorgeous and plentyful!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially for a wedding reception as you will be generously taken care off.
As i said earlier, this is a family run hotel, with a great family running it! So again a big thanks to Jean, Joanne, Sinead, Valerie, Paula,Delmar and all the other staff who were present during our stay, for making our day amazing! We will be back!

Please save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Staff who don't care, owner who is rude and incompetent this was easily the worst place I have ever stayed at. Room themselves are nice but everything else makes 'Faulty Towers' look like an efficent and slick operation. Is it any wonder the place is so poor with the lack of leadership and manners displayed by the management. Over priced rubbish. P.s dont try to politely point out how things could be improved owner is an expert who will quickly tell you how wrong you actually are.
