Perfect location on beautiful Grace Bay Beach, had an ocean view studio ,a great view to wake up to every morning and the weather spectacular. The Alexandra has the most wonderful and extremely accommodating staff. Great restaurant called Mango Reef.
Can't wait to go back!

Have not been to Provo in 15 years, it did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful
From Luxury Link booking staff (Erica) to Mango Reef and Alexandra staff, this was an outstanding and memorable vacation.

We were met by the friendly and engaging Olivia at the airport. Also, Arnold on the bell staff was so helpful and Johanna who managed to get our room (2401) ready early for us and that was just the beginning. It got better from there. The entire staff made a point of helping to ensure a great and relaxing time. The Mango Reef staff from Alexis, to Anderson, Davidson, Ramon and of course Mikey, were fun and very attentive.

The one bedroom, oceanfront was as pictured, with a very nice full kitchen, one and a half baths, W/D and a huge deck for beautiful views.

With the entire above, The Alexandra still paled by comparison to Grace Bay beach. This beach earns every high ranking it receives. Wow

Some other particulars:
Want a more luxurious upgrade; try The Somerset gorgeous@ twice the price.
Have kids, Beaches next door, but the beach is a mad house and not as nice.
Bring what food you can. Food at IGA is at least double US prices. IGA $9.00 cab ride per person. No alcohol sales on Sunday
Try Wine and Spirits TCI at Regent Village (Salt Mills) fast, free delivery. Case of Turks Head beer $44.00, Corona $66.00.
Loved Mango Reef, Bay Bistro and Somewhere @ Colony Bay fun Tex-Mex with live music and another great Mikey. Danny Buoys at Salt Mills fun Sports bar, food OK, but if you like hot try Joey’s suicide sauce.

Finally, thanks to everyone who takes the time to post good, honest reviews on TA. Have used it for years and appreciate it, so I decided I better also get in the game.

Room Tip: Lady Rose is ocean front.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week on Grace Bay and really enjoyed our stay at the Alexandra. We live in S. CA and normally vacation in Hawaii but used the opportunity to leave our young son with his grandparents on the east coast for a week in paradise.

Since this was our first trip the Carribbean and a rare chance to vacation without our son, we "went big" and opted for a one-bedroom, luxury, ocean front suite. It was more $ than we hoped to spend but we were not disappointed. The view was AMAZING and the room was very, very nice and extremely comfortable. We lucked out by being in the Lady Rose building, fourth floor and the corner. We couldn't have scripted it any better.

Grace Bay is exactly as advertised... warm, crystal clear, calm and very relaxing. When we arrived the resort was only about 50% full but even after it filled up over Memorial Day weekend, we never felt crowded or like we couldn't easily find comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas.

We ate at several restaurants up and down Grace Bay but eventually settled at the Mango Reef right on the resort for dinner (we made use of our fully stocked kitchen for most breakfasts and lunches). The food was very good, the service was great and we found the ability to sit right on the sand to be a real treat. Shelly ended up serving us at the same table our last three nights and we had great meals with stellar sunsets. Very nice.

We only used the pool once... we're not big pool people, but found it peaceful and loved the swim up bar (really the only reason we used the pool the one time we did).

All of the staff we interacted with were polite, helpful and very cheery. We felt the cleaning staff was excellent. Someone else on here complained about it and we were a little worried but we thought the cleaning staff were thorough, prompt and really good.

We do have a couple of tips or mild complaints that we're going to offer, only in the hopes of helping the next travelers and providing input to staff:

1. I couldn't wait to get in the water and snorkle and stand up paddle (SUP) surf. For the most part, it was exactly as advertised but to be honest, the SUP equpment is in bad, bad shape. There were three boards, all of them were cracked or pretty badly dinged and therefore taking on water. Most people probably wouldn't care or notice and I know how hard guests can be on equipment but I was disappointed. The resort directly next door has brand new equipment and anyone who is experienced SUP would find the equipment lacking and limiting.

2. There is a daily shuttle to the grocery store in the late afternoon for a modest charge. There is also a free shuttle a few times every morning to a sister resort which has a grocery store on site. I wish we had known about the free shuttle but c'est la vie.

3. Al does a wonderful job of providing information at the welcome/manager's reception breakfast which is held on Sunday (I think). He give a lot of great information. Unfortunately for us, we checked in on a Tuesday and didn't benefit from that information until we were all but done wtih our trip. I would strongly suggest that the hotel consider putting a lot of that information into a welcome package and providing to each guest at check in.

4. The view in our room was unparalled. The amenities were all nice to very nice. But the build standards aren't quite up to "luxury" standards you might experience in the US. For example, our room at the Alexandar was ever bit as nice as our room we had a few years ago at the St. Regis in Princeville. But whereas we never heard a peep from any other room, etc. on Kauai, the insulation in the Alexandra means that you will hear people in the hallways and you will hear people moving chairs around on their balconies. It's not bad, but it's different and if you're not used to it or expecting it, you might be surprised.

5. We booked a half day snorkeling cruise through Al and thought it was excellent and a really good value (especially for the island - see below). We saw a TON of marine life, had a lot of fun, came home with a beautiful Conch shell for my son and... enjoyed several cold beers. Great way to spend a half a day.

6. The gym is small but clean and surprisingly nice. There's one treadmill, one bike, one eliptical, some free weights and several weight machines. I used it several times, found it well stocked with towels and water and very clean. I work out first thing in the morning and never had an issue getting the equipment I wanted. My only bummer was that the wi fi on the property doesn't work in the gym.

6. My last comment isn't a reflection of the resort so much as it is a reality when you're on Providenciales... everything is really expensive. We've spent a lot of time in Hawaii so we know all about island pricing but we still had some sticker shock. A case of beer at the grocery store, for example, is $66. You can get a case of the local Turks Head Lager (which we really liked) for about $44... but if you want Corona, Miller Lite, Bud Light, etc. it's going to cost you. And if you're into beer and want craft beer it's going to cost a lot more.

Thank you for your positive review. We also very much appreciate the constructive feedback you shared, as it helps us to continually improve our service. Please know that new SUP's have been ordered, and the board that was cracked has already been repaired. We are very sorry to learn you did not know about the free grocery shuttle that is operated daily. Our front desk agents inform people about this service at check-in and posters advertising the shuttle are placed in each elevator. We will review options to improve communications and consider adding a welcome package with more resort information.

The place was absolutely breathtaking, I had such a memorable time that I've been begging my husband to go back. The water is literally crystal clear and yes we were greeted by colorful fish swimming around us and they even followed us around in the shallow end. The staff super friendly the locals were also friendly and the good was absolutely amazing. We ate at the Mango restaurant almost every night and I would order the
Lobster Curry every time. Omg so delicious. I would just go back for that dish. Yummy. Overall amazing, thank you Alexandria for the great memories. Hope to be back soon. Also must try the conch ceviche (fresh) with Doritos, mind blowing!

We felt at home from the start. Staff somehow remembered that we said we were celebrating our 30th anniversary and the day we arrived there was a bottle of wine and a card for us. We were quite impressed & surprised as we only mentioned this in passing.
When we arrived, Cameo was welcoming new guests on the deck and he could not have been more sweet. His friendly smile and caring attitude made us feel like we were visiting old friends. We will be back for sure and already miss the resort and the friendly staff.
