“Excellent service from Wizair, however Luton airport is a nightmare!”
Review of Wizz Air

Reviewed August 15, 2017

After my recent experience with Wizz Air, I felt a bit apprehensive about having a five-hour flight with them, but the flight exceeded my expectations. It was one of the older Wizz Air planes, with comfortable seats and enough leg space. The cabin crew was very professional and efficient.
The worst bit was waiting more than an hour at Luton airport, in a cramped corridor with no seats.

We had a early flight from OTP to LTN on August 14.
The flight was delayed by nearly 3 hours.
The delay was told to be caused by a technical issue and I accept it clearly as the safety is linked to the necessity to solve technical issues, but to let the passengers without information, telling at 9:25 that the flight will take off at 9:00 is funny after the facts but not at all when you are in the queue since 2 hours waiting in front of someone who doesn’t know at all what to tell you.
Furthermore, when you have a paid service called priority boarding, a delay is not an excuse to simply do not respect any term of this service. This is not fair for the passengers who paid for it.

It is not normal to pay extra 80 euros to have some hand luggage on the plane. That's what happens if you want to fly with Wizz Air. The company wants travelers to go with street bags or they want to steal some money from customers. Not recommended.

This was my first time flying with a low cost company so I wanted to check others experiences before I set off. My major concern was luggage because this company, with the ticket includes only a small cabin luggage. If you want a proper suitcase you will have to pay extra for it. I have read many bad reviews so I was kind of scared of what to expect when I get to the airport. This bad reviews included not only company policy but staff attitude as well. I must say...when you read a review, keep in mind that that is only one person opinion which can be, but it doesn't have to be, true. It may be just a result of unfortunate circumstances or someone’s evil intent. So, when you are reading a review take everything with a pinch of salt.
WizzAir is a low cost commercial company so they have strict regulations. All of them can be found on the company's website. If you follow the instructions you won't have any problems. Besides these regulations that this particular company prescribes, you need to be aware of international air traffic regulations as well. I've read one complaint about company taking their bottles with liquid. Come on people. If you travelled by plane more than once you know that you can't bring in cabin (this rule does not apply to cargo) liquid as you please. All info abut carrying liquid in your cabin luggage can be found online or on the website of the company you are flying with. Just check your facts before you leave and you are good to go.
My experience with WizzAir was more than decent. If you get over the fact that this plane is a free shop with wings you will have a nice experience. Nothing is included in the price of the ticket except for small cabin luggage and your seat. Nobody will check your luggage unless it is obviously oversized, and that is completely reasonable. Small cabin luggage is supposed to go under the seat. Some people paid extra so they can have big cabin luggage that goes in above the seat compartment, and it wouldn't be fair if all the space is used by the free loaders. But they do tolerate a lot. If there is enough space above the seats they will not make a fuss if you use it even if you didn't pay for it.
Staff is nice and professional. They use only English (which is fine) so don't expect of cabin crew to know all languages of the countries they are traveling to just because you are lazy to learn basic English. I must commend pilots as well. Both flights were impeccable when it comes to lift off, landing and flight overall. Kudos to you guys!
On the plane you can buy whatever you might need: drinks, food, perfume cosmetics...Remember when I wrote that first you need to get over the fact that this is a free shop with wings? Well, that's it. Most of the stuff from duty free you can buy on the plane as well. But hey, that is what they live off, and that is why your flight is cheap.
Overall, good price, nice experience - got what I paid for.
