First time with Virgin, indeed my first over the Atlantic. Check in at both ends was kind of ok. My only major gripe is why, on flights both ways had Virgin oversubscribed for Premium and then proceded to literally have a lottery for who goes where. Surely it is not too hard to count heads as they book? Even Ryan Air let you pick a seat beforehand, even prior to check in! As someone who gets slightly anxious when unable to see out of a window, this was a bit of a concern to me not knowing till the last few minutes.
The plus points are that the phone app was reliable, able to check in online.
The flight itself, both ways, was faultless, very good cabin crew, and well treated. Premium economy is pretty good and would recomend to anyone to pay a little extra.

Flight was delayed 1.5 hours due to late arrival of the aircraft due to having to fly around Pakistan. So in addition to the 1.5 hour delay, the flight time was extended fly around Pakistan for a total $3 hour delay..

Cabin crew was very very slow for drink and meal service. Entertainment had to be rebooted 3 times. For the last half of the flight we had a "river" running along the edge of the bathroom floor.

Several large aircraft landed at the same time at LHR (about 10 pm) and this resulted in very long lines at immigration for non-EU citizens.

Good service, reasonable food, much better choice of films and music than BA but....... I have had more room sitting in a Jet2 plane than this. To travel 9hrs and not be able to straighten your legs because the seats are so close is ridiculous. It is not as if I have long legs but it was still not possible to recline and straighten my legs. Will look for an alternative if I go that way again

We were apprehensive about the long flight but need not have worried. The attendants were efficient and the entertainment was comprehensive.
The food was really excellent and the time passed very quickly.
The girls were charming and helpful. Not enough legroom for my tall husband - but just about bearable.

Recently flew to Dehli with Virgin in Premium Economy. I can seriously say we have never been looked after better. The quality of service and food was extremely high and the cabin crew just couldn't do enough for us and smiled throughout the flight. Well done our crew of March 16 Th LHR to IGIA !! Thank you Virgin !!
