We ran into connection problems because of a two-hour delay in Belize City due to bad weather. This caused us to miss our connecting flight (Westjet) and when we got to Houston, we were told that someone would talk to us once we got through American Customs. This did not happen, and we scuttled between terminals trying to get some help. Wetjet told us by phone it was a United problem and the customer service desk we finally found told us that we were re-booked on a United Flight to Calgary that we almost missed because we did not have a cell phone. Then that flight was delayed because the ground crews refused to work in a thunderstorm (fair enough), and we missed our connecting flight in Calgary, but United ponied up for a hotel room and breakfast, so I have to give them some credit for that..
