For me, QANTAS has always been the gold star in terms of aircraft and service (equal to Singapore Airlines).

Unfortunately this time it was a complete let down. We were in a smaller plane (737-800), which can't be helped. Seats were ok, in flight entertainment was good (although sluggish). However service was a let down.

Travelling with a toddler, every other airline has checked on us to make sure everything was ok. Other airlines have checked with us first for meal preference, and kept one meal aside so that one of us can eat while our child is on the other's lap. Then they'd bring out the meal while my wife and I switched our child to the other parent.

They understand a satisfied and happy child makes for an enjoyable experience for the whole plane. A grumpy/cranky child means the whole plane has to hear them cry and scream.

This flight, the hostesses seemingly served people in a complete random way. Skipping aisles and in some cases, completely skipping passengers. They never checked on us (unless we pressed the attendant button), and it made the flight that much more uncomfortable.

I've always tried to fly QANTAS when travelling domestic, but I think this was the last time for a while. When standards slip that much it's time to look at Virgin next flight.

Recently completed a return flight to London flying Qantas, chose via Singapore from Melbourne and decided to try the direct London Perth for return. Flight over was very good had extra leg room seats upstairs on an A380. Return flight was a little different had the extra leg room but was looking at the toilet door opening and closing for 16 hours! Also the seat was near the wing so was quite noisy on the Airbus 787. Have travelled Royal Brunei in the same sort of plan in a different seat and it was very quite. Also the seat on the Qantas 787 wasn’t as comfortable as Royal Brunei.
I prefer to travel with Qantas but probably wouldn’t wont choose the direct flight as still suffering jet lad a week later. Would fly via Singapore for future flights to UK. Better then the 2 stops flying Royal Brunei even though Husband prefers it.

booked and paid premium economy used fly points to up grade to buisness 2 people travelling together Qantas gave us to seats but not together asked if they would change the seating air port staff were'nt even interested in changing the seating WE had to ask fellow passengers if they would mind changing seats.
No a Good start Qantas a bit of PR required

Always have a great experience flying Qantas, ease of check-in, relaxed feel in the airport at Sydney especially, and boarding. All very well executed. The flights attendants were very attentive & we had an awesome flight.

We booked premium economy because of the length of the flight Row 28 E-F the row in front when they put there seats into the recline position were leaning on the tv screen it made it impossible for us to get out to go to the wc with out waking the people in front to put there seats up We were lucky that they did'nt mind. Qantas need to get it right they need to take seats out not put them in overall the comfort of the seating was very poor for the price we paid economy would have been a better option
