Flight attendants very friendly and attentive. The flight was only one hour in length but we had been given a cheese sandwich, cookie, water and a wonderful cup of tea.

KLM offers a superb service to Kilimanjaro and on to Dar es Salaam for the mountaineering and safari addicts amongst us. One single flight number KL571 flies a little loop AMS->JRO->DAR->AMS. Only a few really big birds go to Kilimanjaro, KLM and Qatar Airways I believe. The tourists seated in a 777 somewhat overwhelm the visa-on-arrival service at Kilimanjaro so it is handy to be seated a bit in the front of the plane and have your 50 Euro or 50 US$ bills ready (and mind you, 100 US$ for Americans, totally justified of course).

We flew to Kilimanjaro (JRO), climbed the mountain a bit and took a safari, then from Arusha to Zanzibar by Precision Air, then from Zanzibar to Dar by Auric Air, and then back with KL571 to Amsterdam. A once in a lifetime experinece! We were fortunate to sit business class on the way back and slept like babies en route to Schiphol airport.

Once more I was impressed by the excellent customer care and customer service. Friendly and professional staff, top mark service and attention to details. Definitely recommended.

As I stated in another review I booked a flight on KLM and ended up on Delta because of fine print, only noticed when getting my boarding pass. This is BS. So what happened on Delta, well you got typical Delta service. Two USB ports not charging properly, if at all on our three seat configuration. On flying to Europe our seats were so narrow the three of us had a hard time eating dinner because our elbows were touching and the trays were so small. My feet were fully against the seat in front of me. On the return flight again USB ports not charging, and both TV screens not working properly. I would bet anything these these problems have gone un-repaired for a long time. USA airlines just do not deliver the same service as Europe
