DO NOT FLY Interjet! We had just finished a beautiful vacation in Playa del Carmen and we are all ready to go home. Our flight was for Thursday, 07/30/2019 at 5:15am and as advised we arrive 3 hours prior to departure. We shortly after 2:30am they changed the status of our flight as well as several other flights that same morning as "canceled". Needless to say there were hundreds of angry passengers. We waited in line for 3 hours to have them tell us they couldn't get us home until the next day. Fine. We did the whole thing again the next morning. Got our very young kids up at 1:30am to arrive at the airport at 2am only to see only ONE employee working the Interjet desk for at least 150 people in line. At one point she only started helping those who were able to check-in online and print their own boarding pass. We were not able to do it because we kept receiving a message saying we needed to go to the Interjet desk for the boarding passes. We were at a disadvantage. By the time we reached the front desk it was 6:30am, but we still had hope because the 2303 flight was delayed. However, whoever changed our flights the day before did not protect our seats and we were unable to get on. Instead they put us on a later flight which guaranteed missing the 9:50am flight back to Las Vegas. The employee informed us we would have to spend yet another night in Mexico. This time in Mexico City and they would pay for our hotel which was near the airport and we could then catch the 9:50 flight back to Las Vegas. When we arrived in Mx City on Wednesday at 1:30pm we were instructed to go to the "Passenger Protection" line to receive our hotel voucher. There must have been 200-300 people..ALL ANGRY because of they also experienced flight cancellations. We stood in line for 3 hours while my poor kids sat on the floor against a wall..again..to be told whoever sent us to Mexico City and said we could fly home from there DID NOT protect our seats! All flights full until August 3rd!!! We were told to try upstairs at international departure and MAYBE they can do something. We waited another 2 hours in line and spoke with 3 different people all telling us there was nothing they could do. It wasn't until I became very angry and demanded to be sent back to the US that someone suddenly found a way. We had to spend another night in Mexico to fly to Monterrey the next morning then from Monterrey to Las Vegas. Fine, but it was a whole new and other fight to have the man protect and print all our boarding passes. Finally around 6:30pm we had everything we needed. The next day... we were able to bypass the lines as we had our boarding passes. We arrived at 3am for a 5:00am flight Monterrey. at 4:30 they announced the gate had changed! That entire group of people waiting all rushed to the new gate. We departed late. We get to Monterrey in time for our 10:30am flight back home to Las Vegas. The crew doesn't arrive until 9:30 and at 9:45 calls us to the desk to request our immigration forms. Fine. IMMIGRATION DIDN'T STAMP MY DAUGHTERS FORM AT ENTRY!!! They asked us to go back to immigration to get it stamped, but no one has any clue how to get there, so my family and I were sent to find our own way through that airport. We made it back just in time and finally arrived home 3 days later. Our story is not the only one. We met several people from around the world and people from Mexico that were put out and schedules disrupted because of Interjet. One lady in particular was supposed to be home Wednesday and was told over and over and over that the soonest they could get her home was August 5th! That us insane! During my wait time I was able to do some research on Interjet and it turns out they have a long history of being in labor disputes with their employees which often results in mass flight cancellations and delays. This is a normal thing for this company! If they treat their passengers so awfully I can't imagine how they treat their employees. Beware of this airline! Do not risk it to save a little money because we ended up spending more money on the extra days we were stranded. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Interjet has zero communication with their customers. Our flight was delayed by over 3 hours. The only reason we knew it was delayed was because we kept checking the boards. There was nobody at the gate to communicate with. After being delayed 3+ hours, we began to board. We sat on the airplane for about 15 minutes when the captain came on the speaker and asked for two volunteers to get off the flight and take a different flight because the airline overbooked. Nobody volunteered. After another 15 minutes or so, he came back on the speaker and said that if nobody volunteers he was going to cancel the entire flight. Fortunately for us a family of 5 volunteered to get off. How ridiculous that they would cancel the entire flight because of an error that they made. I don’t understand why they would cancel an entire flight because the overbooked and they had two extra people that didn’t get a seat. Why not just accommodate those two people on another flight? I will NEVER fly with interjet again and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

By far, this is one of the best airlines I have been on. I’ve previously been on United and AeroMexico which were decent, but interjet takes the cake. I am 6’0 270lbs and fit very comfortably in the aircrafts seats.

Late for all three flights, longest waits for check in and boarding. Dodgy old planes.
There is basic and then there is just useless. Staff go missing as soon as a problem occurs. We found them hiding around a corner!!

My wife had a flight from ACA to YYZ with a stopover in MEX. They cancelled the flight from ACA to MEX 3 hrs before scheduled departure. They offered her to change to a flight departing in 5 days. What airline tells you to come back in 5 days??? No compensation offered, no hotel offered. Never again !!
