This LATAM codeshare is operated by Iberia. Check-in and Boarding were OK, departure was on time, although weather conditions were poor. On board service is average, but the food is poor, even in Business Class. I know the excellent Spanish cuisine, but I do not understand, how Iberia succeeds to offer such incomparable bad food. Proficiency in English was poor as well.

The flight attendants, at times, seem a bit overwhelmed, mostly by a few loud crying babies, some arguments between passengers that seem to be more prevalent on Spain's National carrier...and they charge for absolutely everything on the Inter-city, Iberia-Express routes...

We flew Iberia from Chicago to Athens via Madrid. The service by flight crew was not exceptional -no warm welcome compared to the service of Olympic Air or Aegean Airways. Attitude was almost impetious towards passengers. I'd say the flight crew was a pretty cold bunch and I've flown a lot of international airlines. (Will requiring cabin crew to smile incite a labor strike?)
I agree with reviews in Skytrack of how unhelpful their airport staff is in Mantid Not helpful at all especially when signage directing connecting passengers is not clear. As we were landing in Madrid we were told there would be a person meeting the plane to direct us to connections which almost all airlines do. But there were no personnel to provide gate information nor instructions on how to get to right concourse. We had to find an info counter & get into a long line.

The meals are good when they feed you. On our return flight from Madrid to Chicago, our lunch was delicious. We were supposed to get a second lighter meal a couple of hours before landing. They never served it claiming turbulence which there never was. Guess that gave the flight crew a good rest after an exhausting meal service the first half of the flight. So we were starving as it was nearly a nine hour flight. Don't think Iberia's employees want to put too much effort in their work. Advice to would be long-haul passengers: PACK FOOD!

The entertainment options, on the other hand, were above average. Lots of movies to fhoose from including a good assortment of art house films. At least they distracted me from my hunger pangs towards the end. Also kept me from needing to interact with their flight attendants who sorely need customer service skills.

The flight was delayed in Bogota reducing the connection time in Madrid for the flight to Heathrow.
Limited assistance from the air crew or ground staff in Madrid.
The flight was ok.

On time departure from Terminal 3. Nice food, polite air hostesses. Overall a good flight, albeit short.
