Got reasonably priced flight at fairly short notice, seat selection was fine, got our 2 seats together at no cost when we checked in online about 10 hours beforehand, flew out of Dublin early in the morning, we were on time, smooth flight and no problems.

If transfering allow at least two hours in Dublin for your luggage to arrive with you. We had an hour in Dublin before catching our connecting flight to Amsterdam. We arrived Sunday morning. Our luggage was delivered to us Thursday afternoon. The baggage tracking and delivery "service" Aer Lingus uses -- Avia Partners -- was the worst customer interface I've experienced in years. No one answered the phone in Amsterdam -- I was 2 hours/ 38 minutes on hold before my mobile conked out. We were never contacted by phone; the website information on our claim was consistently 24-48 hours old; the Avia Partners email provided only gave error messages whenever we tried to use it. Aer Lingus' "customer service" would only refer us back to Avia Partners' Amsterdam phone number -- which no one answers. It was a Kafkaesque five days.

Seats were comfortable and roomy. Flight attendants were attentive, personable, and efficient. Meals were tasty.

I sometimes think we under-appreciate the contribution an Airline can make to our much-anticipated "Holiday in the Sun" - for sure, we especially remember when there's some form of "hiccup" when getting to/from our chosen destination, but we probably don't give sufficient credit when we experience smooth and pleasant journeys.

Fortunately, this year, we were able to fly Aer Lingus to/from Fuerteventura, (they had restored flights dropped in 2016, when we were forced to travel with a certain other currently "embattled" Airline).

Everything went smoothly from our arrival at Dublin Airport, and our outward flight was actually enjoyable : Geraldine & her colleagues on Cabin Crew were all attentive, efficient, and warm in their exchanges with passengers - we arrived on time, our Bags were delivered in 15 minutes, and we were on our way (by Taxi) to Corralejo, a further quarter of an hour later.

Our return journey was also very good. The Airline's local Check-in agents proved to be almost as pleasant as Aer Lingus's own staff, and Sue & the other Cabin Crew members (we referred to them, not unkindly, as the "SpecSavers Team") were again friendly and effective.

Overall, we must thank Aer Lingus for adding to what was for us, a very enjoyable Holiday experience - believe me, the attitude and performance of your staff does make a notable difference !

[P.S. Just a thought for the Captain of our Return Flight : as we passengers (now referred to as "guests", by the way) disembark, we have the opportunity to thank the Cabin Crew, so don't distract and monopolise their attention, self-indulgently "going-on" about something not directly work-related - they deserve to receive the good wishes of passengers, without YOU getting in the way!]

This is a problem that occurs every time I book a flight - the airline changes the flight times without notifying me. This usually happens approximately four weeks before the flight and I find out when doing online check-in! Everything else was fine.
