Very poor signage at London Gatwick airport, I bumped into lots of similarly lost icelandair travellers before finding their check-in. 3 check-in staff for the whole flight meant long queues ~45 mins to check-in. Plane then spent 3 hours sitting on the tarmac at gatwick before departing, so we missed our connection in Reykavik - making for a disastrous trip. Very poor experience. I wouldn't recommend flying with them certainly not with a connection between N.America and continental europe.

Icelandair has a nice entertainment system, free coffee, water and sodas. Nice staff and allows 23 kg checked in luggage. Compared to other major airlines who operate in Keflavik it is the best.

It's the quickest way to get from the US to Europe, but would be nicer to have more comfy seats, more leg room and free food. Most airlines offer free food on international flights, but not this one. Here you have to pay for everything, and the service wasn't that great. We preordered special diet food online, but they couldn't find anything. But the flight was easy and quick.

No snacks at all are included. Very crampt seating, no crew were friendly, both flights were delayed. A hotel was provided but no food or information as to what the mechanical problem was. No employees at the gate to answer questions or help in any way. Soda has sugar and fake sugar. You can only pereseve seats if you buy through them.
The only good thing was that the plane got fixed and did not fall out of the sky.

No doubt the pricing very competitive. Not so happy with the seat room and average service. Hard to understand the delay required to check every passport in Reykjavik when you are travelling through to other Countries but may be a European visit requirement. Reykjavik Airport very busy and their system to move passengers through quickly leaves a lot to be desired. I would suggest the opportunity to spend time in Iceland when flying with Iceland Air great deal. Just be sure to make that decision while making your original reservation no matter what site. Can’t add this to it later.
