We chose this particular cruise because it included Athens,Istanbul, Ephesus and Rome. The first night was spent in a luxury hotel in Athens a part of the package. The meal by the pool on the top floor was excellent and relatively good value for a hotel of this standard. As the sun was setting we enjoyed watching the Acropolis and seeing it illuminated as darkness fell.
The next day we paid $180 for the two of us to go on a guided tour of the Acropolis. Unfortunately the guide appeared to be obsessed with linguistics rather than describing the wonderful Greek remains which only allowed us 20 minutes to see the Acropolis itself. She then managed to lose four of the party including us and more by good luck we were able to just among to enter the wonderful Acropolis museum which was included in the price.
We joined the ship that afternoon for a superb cruise. We have travelled by Regent an several cruises and were welcomed like old friends by several members of the crew. The food and service were impeccable. Our suite was, as usual, superbly maintained.
We finished this memorable holiday by having 3 days in Rome. Except for the concern that BA was going to cancel our flight home due to industrial action we had a very enjoyable break there.

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. The only criticism was that one of our shore excursions got cancelled (glass bottom kayaking) as we suspect we were the only takers (average age is quite elderly). The staff are amazing and attentive (great staff to passenger ratio), the

Started in Dubai and finished in Singapore. One of the best cruise lines afloat currently. They are all suites , with some bigger than others. The food, service, wine, entertainment were all excellent and will be going again.

At first glance, Regent cruises seem expensive. What you must do is look at what is included, as well as the level of service. You will not be disappointed. Your cabin is kept stocked, at no extra charge, with any alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that you want. The food
