The ship wasn't as big as I'd expected, which made it easier to navigate to different dining and entertainment options. Our stateroom was the perfect size for the two of us.

Pros: Our stateroom was great, couldn't be happier. Perfect amount of space for the two of us, including the balcony that made it seem bigger. We were situated near the elevators which made it helpful to get to after a big day at sea. Our dining experience was over the top exceptional. Our server was awesome in knowing what we wanted to drink after the second day. He was friendly and more than willing to help out with any questions. I watched a couple good entertainment one of which was a totem pole carving. Watching and learning about the Alaskan culture was an interesting show that I kept going back for the two days that he was there. When we had an issue with the spa, we found a great customer service person that did everything in her power to fix the issue for us.Lucia definitely went above and beyond. The staff in general was friendly and willing to start conversations with everyone they came across. When I asked about an excursion, the person answered my question professionally.

Cons: The only two cons that we came across was a poor experience with the spa and their staff. I want to let others know to be aware of the added on gratuity that's supposed to be an optional, but they add it without telling the person. Also, the staff is very highly aggressive when it comes to upselling the products and other services, in addition to not listening to the person's preference on what they want to be done. Another minor issue in our stateroom was that the pull out couch had some minor wear and tears in it. I would have thought that when they refurbished the ship, that they would have fixed it. Not a huge deal, but it shows that the ship is an older ship.

Recommended? Still yes. I can't wait for our next cruise with the Princess line, and the Grand is still a great smaller ship where it seems the staff takes care and pride in doing a great job. This is to ensure the passengers have a memorable experience. I wouldn't recommend though the spa services unless you want an aggressive experience and not feeling like a valued customer.

We had Suite L301 on Lido Deck 14. It is on the starboard (right) midship side of the ship and is around 740sf including the balcony. For two of us the suite is just great as we can spread out and relax and enjoy a very quiet atmosphere with no music or noise from

The cabin air conditioning did not work so we called the Customer Service desk, they sent up a mechanic. He opened the vent all the way and said the air conditioning should work better. Well it didn't. After several calls for repair they sent up chocolate covered

Princess Cruises did not disappoint! 10 day family event out of San Francisco to Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas and back to SF. Weather was VERY hot in Mexico during Sept/Oct. Port cities were interesting and felt safe, nice excursions either from ship

We have been on this Mexico cruise, as well as the SF to Hawaii cruise and SF to Alaska several times. We love it because we live in the Bay Area, and it sails back and forth from SF. This time we just wanted to relax, so we loved all the sea days. We always have a balcony, and
