I recently went on my very first Volotea Flight while visiting Italy for the first time. After having so much excitement to finally visit the country of my family, I was met with rudeness as my wife and I tried to enter the aircraft and was forced to pay 120 euro for our two suitcases that were well within the maximum size capacity for a carry-on. Out of all of the passengers on the plane, we were 2 of a total of three people checked for luggage and the only ones required to pay although the majority of the passengers had similar size carry-ons. Being in a foreign country is hard enough without being proficient in the language and to be treated this poorly is unacceptable and put a damper on our trip. On a side note, while on the same trip, we flew another local airline which did not have any issue with the same carry-on luggage. We have pictures of our suitcases clearly within the maximum size limits and also a picture of an empty overhead compartment that would easily fit our two suitcases. We will never fly this airline again if this how they treat their customers.

Return was quite dramatic. Captain informed us that we have technical problems and we have to land in Venice instead of Triste....

Friendly and helpful staff, good service and clean and comfortable aircraft (much better than other more famous low cost airlines).
Pity some inconvenience to boarding (uncomfortable place and too much time to embark)

Great flight, perfectly on time, very polite and prepared staff.
Also the website is convenient for direct booking

Appalling flight. After receiving a few text messages from Volotea to say that flight would be delayed (more than 2 hours), when it finally arrived a representative was offering €125 and a hotel overnight stay if 20 passengers would delay their flight by a day. They were not successful and ended up selecting approx. 20 passengers to be denied boarding. We were fortunately allowed to board and we were shocked to see that nearly all of the seats at the front half of the cabin were taped off and not available. Our seat numbers no longer applied and we waited a further hour before take off. During this whole return flight we were not given any reasons as to why the flight was delayed or why so many seats were taped off. We arrived 3.5 hours late and will be claiming compensation. Will not use this company again.
