Cupecoy beach

We're pondering a quick trip to St Maarten in the Spring. We loved Cupecoy last year. Is it still as nude-friendly now that the apartments are in place above the cliff at the West end?

I was wondering about the beach and the sand on it. Last year, there seemed to be a good bit of erosion. Has it built back up at all?

The sand comes and according to the sea. There's no predicting. We had a very nice big beach all summer, The season begins slowly, and the sand moves away. It does seem to be inching back.

Drive to the airport and on to Maho. At the roundabout, head into Maho itself with all the casinos, bars, etc. You will pass the Atlantis Casino on your right and Cupecoy Beach Club on your left. Then on the left you will pass The Cliff and Rainbow Beach Club. The road will bend to the left and next you will pass the Sapphire BC and finally the Ocean Club.

After the Ocean club the road bends right and everything is open on the left. Before yhe road bends right, a dirt road goes off to the left towards the cliffs. Turn down the dirt road and follow it as it bends right and go all the way to the end. If it's the same as last summer, you'll see a few cars parked under trees and a path (of sorts) going down to the beach.

You should also see Danny, who runs a table-top bar, does great ribs and rents loungers and umbrellas. The first words he said to us when we found the place were, "You can be nude here".
