I have a twisted pelvis and tons of back problems caused by walking and I managed it. The hill is over rated, a long driveway more than anything else. The hill is only really steep for the last few meters. The bus stop is at the bottom & the beach is over the road. just not for wheel chairs and anyone who couldn't make it up a flight of stairs.

So much rubbish has been published about the 'so-called' steep hill to the Telemachos Hotel that, if it was all collected together, the road could probably be levelled off!

It is quite clearly stated, on the Olympic Holidays' website page and in the Company's brochure, that the approach road to the Hotel may not be suitable for guests with walking difficulties. This should, of course, convey to ALL intending guests, that it also may not be suitable for pushing perambulators up and down, or using wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks or other aids, or assisting young children who have just started walking, and, of course, when so drunk that you cannot stand up, let alone walk - a frequent pastime in Corfu.

The entire length of the approach road is only about 260 yards. There is an incline, for the first 80/90 yards which is stiff, but hardly steep. The road then runs more or less level for about 100 yards, then the final 60/70 yards is a bit more steep, until reaching the Hotel car-park, from where the ground is level until the steps to the Hotel entrance.

Nowhere is the approach road as steep as the average flight of stairs in any apartment or office block, and the people who call it 'cardiac' hill quite obviously have never climbed one!
