Kenyan Adventures & Beyond Safaris

Travelled to Diani Beach, Mombassa Sept 2011. Cannot recommend Doc at Kenyan Adventures & Beyond Safaris enough. We have never been on safari before and never been to Kenya although it has been on the 'bucket list' for many years now. Based on Trip Advisor forums, we took the plunge, emailed a few locally based Safari companies. Doc at Kenyan Adventures & Beyond Safaris, emails came back promptly and he answered all of our many questions politely and with patience. We were a little worried about transferring such a large some of money to a Kenyan bank- but again consulted the forums and sent the funds. We need not have worried, we were sent a receipt immediately and our safari confirmed.

We travelled to Mombassa from Zanzibar, which incidently is stunning, and met with Doc at his office on the main beach road at Diani. His driver picked us up from our hotel and returned for both this meeting and for our safari. We flew from Ukunda Airstrip directly to the Masai - Doc recommended and booked us into the Governor Main Camp. This is absolutely the most amazing place and our experience here along with the Balloon safari (again booked by Doc) was a once in a lifetime unforgettable experience.

However, for us, the best bit was because Doc is a local company his clients i.e. us - were offered a free upgrade to The Governors Private Camp, unbelievable!!!

We had the most amazing safari, Doc and his colleagues at Kenyan Adventures & Beyond Safaris are professional, courteous and the price we got was really competitive, especially next to the price we were quoted at our UK travel agents.

Book your safari locally, it has to help the local economy and lets face it who knows better, the girl at the desk in Thomas Cook or a local Kenyan who has been in business for many years. We cannot thank Doc and the team enough and we would certainly come back and recommend them to everyone!

We booked a 3day safari to Tsavo East and West with Doc at Kenyan Adventures and beyond. The company was very good and I can highly recommend them. We booked in the Uk before our trip and after many emails between us and Doc eventually agreed upon our itinerary with Doc's advice taken We were a little concerned at first about sending the deposit but it seemed very genuine. Doc was very helpful and agreed to meet us at our hotel on 1st January 2012 to finalise things and pay our balance. Doc was very prompt with the meeting and a few days later we were collected by our driver Nicholias and taken on our trip to Tsavo. Doc's recommendations of the camps we stayed at were spot on and both were excellent The Severin Camp and The Galdessa Camp. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone.

we are using this company since 2003 and have been always very confident. It is true - it is a small kenyan company, but the personal service, the small things and the special treatment makes the stays always unforgetable. We had many lovely moments and experiences with him and discovered a lot of not so well-known places. Doc made so many dreams come true and he also made it possible, that we always got new inspirations. Worth a try and an eye...we can also highly recommand them.
