whats the smoking policy like in ANY of the hotels.and bars etc

what price is the local transport... we call them gua gua's in the dom rep... locals mini vans / buses

Eating out

local restaurants / prices / types of food...I have a serious allergy to gluten and red meat...( but being a doctor I have all medicine if a problem )

Local drinks prices... soft drinks and beers ...is beer draft or bottled... whats the best one.

Would highly recommend Pinewood Village down at Galu beach. Has 24 hour all inclusive, great rooms though you need to upgrade to Executive for seaview. If you book a suite it comes with your chef who will cook your selected menu. The Head Chef, Dickson will be happy to taillor a menu to suit your dietry requirements. The beach is stunning, watersports available are diving, snorkelling, body and kite surfing. It is a little remote and they only have entertainment twice a week on BBque nights so you may want more than this. There is a disco Shakatak not too far away, but you would need taxis. Smoking is OK virtually anywhere at Pinewood with the exception of reception area, so no worries there. The hotel is small, just 58 rooms/suites in total but you get a nice mix of nationalities. The service is truly exceptional. They also have a great little Spa which is very resonably priced.

If this isn't for you then perhaps Diani Beach Resort & Spa would fit the bill a bit better than Diani Beach

Diani Reef does not do all inclusive at all. It used to, but for some reason they stopped.
