Hi Shaun, really it is entirely up to you. You'll find quite a lot of previous discussions on the subject on the forum, but here a couple to get you going: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g293… and https:/…Tipping.Who.And.How.Much.html

This is what I do as standard

Room boy $5 per day

Waiter $5 per day

Bar staff $1 per round

Bag carries $5

Occasionally tip the gardeners leaf sweepers

For exceptional service I often will give more an average I tip approx $175 per week

My experience is that you will get better service and some extras if you tip regularly .

Tip whatever you feel comfortable. I gave the bar staff something every day, and the waiter.

I am never sure about tipping, we usually tip Room Boys, Villa Hosts, Bar Staff, Room Service (in villa dining) Staff etc but I always feel sorry for the back room staff who must miss out. I have sometimes added a tip to the tab when signing the bill (we usually go "Pay as you go" ) but you never know if this is shared with the staff.

A point to note is the 10% service charge that is added to everything is shared amongst all staff.

In addition to this I always tip as I believe you do get better service and other benefits.
