We are thinking of visiting Koutouloufari in September as a couple. Never heard of it until today. We don't want too much excitement but would like to eat somewhere different each night, drink wine after dinner and have things to see. Can anyone help with this place?

Hi there

Koutouloufari is one of 3 hillside villages which overlook Hersonissos, Piskopiano and Old Hersonissos being the other two. They are lovely old traditional greek villages and have a great choice of restaurants & tavernas in which to dine and drink. The villages are close together so it is only a short walk to walk from one to the other.

My personal favourite is Galini Restaurant in Koutouloufari, but there are many other good ones so you will be spoilt for choice.

Hi we have stayed in Koutouloufari on three occasions always for 2 weeks and we have not been able to get around to eating at all the resturants yet.

The only restaurant we were not at all impressed with was the one past the Rainbow supermarket, on the left. Other than that all the food at the other restaurants were great, the Steaki was good and you should try the fish resturant Onorio.

This is a lovely place to stay.

Koutoulafari would suit you perfectly. As npj said, its one of 3 villages over looking Hersonnissos. Plenty of relaxing bars and restaurants.

The livlier resort of Hersonnissos is 1.5km downhill from the villages if you wanted a change or to get the bus to Heraklion.

We usualy stay in the Marni Village in Koutoulafari
