Ask a doctor ..... Why would you rely on forum advice?

I agree with prior poster about asking your doctor. My big tip is to take precautions in regards to raw foods/fruits/veggies which are always an issue in India. That is, only eat hot and cooked foods (no raw salads, no raw fruits). I would recommend a vegetarian diet as well while there and there are many veg choices. And obviously, bottled and sealed water only (no tap/faucet) and use same with all tooth brushing. Also, ask doctor what medications you can take should you have any intestinal/food poisoning issues. I personally love Florastor, which is a US available probiotic for tummy troubles rather than immodium, but then again, I'm not a doctor and can't advise on it and pregnancy. I would also research prior to locations you are visiting the locations of hospitals/clinics, just in case you have an emergency. Good luck!

I travelled to Kumarakom during my 7th month. Please make sure u have a nice car because the roads are quiet bumpy. Also wear comfortable shoes since all the places are still like a vilage andhence stones ,unpaved paths etc are very common. Avoid fish and raw veggies and also take precaution with water.
