Where to stay?

Looking at booking to sidari for next year, on a budget as 3 little ones. Getting good deals at the yiannis village. Not been back to Greece since we had all 3 so it's a first abroard family holiday so will need until summer 19 to save and plan!

The walk to sidari isn't an issue, more the way back, are there taxis in sidari that we could use when the kids are to tired to walk back?

We have stayed at legends previous that was real close but can't see any good deals.

Anybody had experience of waiting closer to the time for better deals? With us needing a bigger apaprtment im thinking best to get booked ASAP

Hi Matthew, speaking to a local independent travel agent earlier this year they explained that tour operators usually overbook flights and holidays as some people usually cancel which then means they are not advertising last minute cheap deals as often as they used to. My advice is that you often get a better deal especially if you have a certain wish list. We are going to Sidari for the first time in late August (love, love love Greece) although Christos apartments looked to be in a great location very near the beach and near the main strip (2 bed apartments available) although I'm sure more knowledgeable members could expand on this.

Hope this helps, Tracy.

Hi there are dozens of decent apartments in Sidari , Yannis Village is a fair hike from the beach and the main strip, but this obviously depends on what suits you and your family I would go on Sidari tripadvisor look at all the independent comments on all the apartments ie; location, budget etc draw up a short list and then go from there, as there are literally dozens of outstanding places to select from.

Thanks for responses so far. Aslong as we can get a taxi back from the strip it seems like a good enough deal. On such a tight budget for this holiday that we can't go over what we've set. Luckily we can get to sidari again! Just hope the deal is still there come pay day!

Yes for the last 11 years going in August again. It's our second home. Basic rooms but clean and spacious . Beautiful pool and bar and variety menu breakfasts lunch and dinner. Entertainment every night from 10pm e.g. bingo karaoke quizzes stand a hop skip and a jump to the beach and strip 🇬🇷😎🇬🇷

Hi, the yiannis village is about a 30 min walk to the main strip with a few bars en route (including legends). There are taxis but you'll be charged about 5/6 euros so bear that in mind in your holiday budget, and whether you're happy with children not in kids seats- unless you're taking you're own. I always book Greece late but there's only 2 of us so don't have the same requirements. Having spent years in the travel trade, if you're specific on your requirements and/or you're getting a free kids place, book it now.
