Koh Samui in October

We live in China and the first week in October is a national holiday. Is Koh Samui going to be totally under water or is it worth while to visit at this time? Have stayed previously at Poppies Samui and wonder if it has maintained its standards or the past five years? I am concerned about the beach condtions at this time of year.

As far as to my knowledge the poppies resort still remain/maintain it's good standard and reputations.

Beginning - mid October generally is beginning of rainy season in koh Samui. No one can predict the weather that far a head and no one can tell how much rain this year from the previous year. However have a look at this site for guide lines www.travelfish.org/weather/thailand/october

Good luck

Just got back from Poppies and it's as good as ever but October is probably the worst month for travel anywhere in Thailand, we were in Bangkok last October and it rained continually.
