Chaweng beach sunloungers

Hi

We are coming to chaweng in 3 weeks. we are staying at chaweng bay view resort, and will be getting the free shuttle to the beach everyday. Can you use any part of chaweng beach or are there private beaches for hotel guests only? Also, are there sunloungers and if so how much are they?

All of Thailands coastline is designated public access.

You can walk the entire length of the beach.

Many hotels, bars and restaurants do have loungers set up on the beach. Bars and restuarants will allow paying customers to make use of the loungers. Generally, hotel loungers are reserved for hotel guests. However, unless there is a big demand, I would think buying a few drinks would again be enough.

I have not seen charging for loungers - can anyone advise otherwise?

We went to Chaweng for the day and found that a few bars had loungers that simply required the purchase of a drink. The only beach we found that had a couple of deckchairs for hire was Lipa Noi......a guy had 3 deckchairs, priced 50 bht each!
