Information on Ibiza Resorts - Calla Llonga

Calla Llonga is a medium , purpose built resort surrounding a beautiful bay and beach. It caters predominantly to the English Package Holiday market and this is reflected in the options available for restaurants and bars.

The majority are English themed bars and restaurants screening football games and Karaoke style entertainment with pie and chip menus. Nice places to eat are far and few between, mainly due to the all inclusive nature of the surrounding hotels which limit the choice.

The resort is very family friendly with a safe, sheltered and clean beach. There is a small funfair present during the summer months along with a Supermarket, ATM, medical center and chemist.

The resort attracts a British Family crowd with a few older couples as well. There is not much to do after midnight and there are no clubs present as much of the entertainment is Hotel based.

Not a resort to be in if you want to experience the clubbing side of Ibiza, as it has poor transport links and is located in an isolated area. A car is recommended.

HI,

Its not isolated and has a good transport system, with regular buses and its own taxi rank. With one of the best beaches on the Island (blue flag) . A good family resort.

Come on lee......Good transport links????

All Buses stop at 8pm and there are only 2 routes in and out of the place, one to Ibiza and the other to Santa Eularia. I would not consider that "good transport links".

A taxi fare to Ibiza would set you back €30-35 and to San €45, that a lot of cash to pay one way!!

:) Well you right really , its not excellent , but its not bad for the size of the resort and its location.

I guess im trying too give it some good rating as ive lived in this area for 28 years. ;)

You're lucky. Its a beautiful area alright and as you said a great beach. Being isolated in Ibiza is not a bad thing.........

I usually head up north for at least 2 weeks every year and visit that whole area from Sant Carles upwards. Beautiful.

Hi Tammy,

Don't know if you have had a reply regarding Dianne and Joe, but they are returning to Cala Llonga this year after a couple of years in South Africa.

They have just bought the Bar Mariposa on the Pueblo Esparragos complex, and will be opening for the beginning of the season.

Cheers, Nic

Hiya,

Was just wondering if Cala Llonga was a good place to go for a family? or would you reccommend another resort?

Its an ideal family base as long as you want to stay around the Hotel and beach area. The resort is small and choice is limited, but there is enough going on to keep a family occupied for a week. Poor transport links restrict the option of getting around the Island to sightsee.

For a more livelier family resort with more options for a range of ages, then San An Bay or Es Cana would be other resorts to consider.
