I love conch chowder soup. Is there anyplace at Marigot Bay that serves it?

Don't know about Marigot but the chef at the Hummingbird in Soufriere has a source for conch. I have never had it as a chowder but have had it many times as an entree. You should reserve your table several days in advance in order to give the supplier an opportunity.

I made 8 liters of clam chowder for my wife's choir group one week ago. I do this every year as well as barbecue 10 pounds of beef. Heavy on the seafood and light on the potatoes makes an excellent chowder.

Not a big dish on the island as it is on other islands....lambi/conch is around, just usually not as a chowder, per se. Conch fritters occasionally, sometimes in a soup (broth like) but much more as a grilled item or done in a salad, preperations like that. And usually, like deepglory noted, you often need to notify in advance, or catch it when it's a special.

Enjoy what you do find!!

You can find conch chowder on the menu at Hurricane Hole bar in Marigot -- also sometimes at Chateau Mygo .........
