El Calafate to TDP

Hello All,

We are thinking of going from El Calafate to TDP and after 4 days in the park continue to Punta Arenas.

Do buses from El Calfate go to Puerto Natales or do they go directly into the park (or through the park)?

The reason I am asking is that we want to rent a car to visit the park, but want to rent it after we cross the border (basically in PN, not in EC)

Thanks

Santiago

Hola Malysh

You have to take a regular bus to Puerto Natales and then rent the car needed.

Then from Puerto Natales you have to take the new road (through Milodon Cave) to torres which is much shorter.

Or make a loop drive using the new and old road.

You may get a regular bus to Puerto Natales and then rent a car there. It is more economic to drop off the car in Puerto Natales (the same place where you have rented the car) and take the bus to Punta Arenas.

It is quite dificult to rent a car inside the Park.
