The only thing about the old threads is that a lot of enthusiastic people who only made one post, none before and none since, commented. It is always more reliable to get feedback from someone with more than one post to their name.

They are a registered company with the ChileanTourist Board so that is a good sign and appear to be still in business.

We did a 3 week trip with them to Chili ( Atacama, lake district and Patagonia)a few years ago and planning Peru/Bolivia trip with them in 2019. you will have no issues . Pleasant, patient, responsive to questions and well organized. Flawless trip despite multiple sites and internal flights. Even reorganized a day trip to take advantage of better weather. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Just an update - Wangulen did a great job of organising a trip around Patagonia, Easter Island and the Atacama Desert. Would recommend!

Was it an organized tour group or did they put together a customized tour (either escorted or not) for you?

We did a customized trip for 2 a few years ago and are doing a small group Bolivia/Peru trip this year. They are great! Dependable, honest with good sense of what you want from your holiday / accomodations. You will be in good hands however way you travel.

Hi Cruiser, Glad you had a great tour with Wangulen Odyssey tours.

I'm posting to add my voice to the chorus of positive reviews of Felipe and Perry at Wangulen.

Like Cruiser, I was also worried early last year when organising our one month private small group 8 person tour of South America, noting no recent posts about them.

Well,am now on the last leg of our tour and it has been unbelievably fabulous. Felipe guided us in Torres del Paine and joined us for our Bolivia leg (as he said, Bolivia can be difficult).

As others have said, it's worrying sending a considerable sum of money from Australia to Chile and entrusting someone overseas whom you've never met (it was easier for us as a colleague had travelled with them before without problems). Well, I can only say our trust has been repaid in spades. Thanks+++ to Felipe.

Oh, and to those who have questioned the authenticity of posts, whilst not a really active member of TripAdvisor I've been a member for more than 10 years and done number of reviews and posts all over the world which I hope have been helpful.

It was a customised tour - they will generally choose relatively luxurious accommodation for you - if you want to save a bit of $ would be worth mentioning it to them :)

The Overland Odyssey tour was wonderful!!! Felipe and Perry are a real class act and outstanding hosts—trustworthy, professional, responsive, pleasant, easygoing. I researched Patagonia extensively; this is the only tour with this marvelous itinerary (Carretera Austral, hanging glacier, heavenly Puyuhuapi hot springs, Parque Patagonia), plus a small group, charming inns, good food, and a reasonable price/value. It felt like an exclusive tour, off the beaten track and away from the generic tourist-circuit itinerary/crowds. I added on pre- and post-tour extensions to Bariloche/Andean Lake Crossing and Tierra del Fuego (which Felipe booked for me); those completed my journey and made my Patagonian dream come true.
