Royalton Cayo Santa Maria. Anyone been there? Is there wifi?

Hi there! Can anyone who has been to the Royalton Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba tell us if there is wireless internet there or not? If so, is it available in room?

Thanks so much

Hi! No wi fi when I was there in july.

In the lobby, you have two or three computers. It is 6 cuc for 30 minutes.

Ouch. Even by Cuban standards that's a bit expensive for a non WiFi connection...

No WiFi in all of Cuba from what I understand. The computers in the lobby are dial up and you spend most of your time trying to connect and keep a connection. Not worth it, took us 20 min to try to read our email.

Sunriseonthebeach, WiFi is certainly not common, but there are loads of places in Havana and also a few scattered spots in Varadero, Trinidad and Santiago too...

Wi-Fi is spreading to several hotels in Cuba, particularly those run by Melia. Even the Melia, Cayo Coco now has Wi-Fi.

Was there in May and no Wi-Fi and 2 computers in the lobby. As mentioned it is 12 CUC's for an hour so rather expensive.

THANKS SOOOOO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU!!! Much appreciated!!!

Maybe just a few more questions to those who have been to the Royalton Cayo Santa Maria ... was it as wonderful as it looks?? LOL

Also, do they have a good supply of bottled water and how did you find the mosquitos???

Thanks again!

When I was there at the end of june... not much mosquitos. For water, you can tell the butler that you would like two bottles of water, insteand of one, each day. You can also refill a bottle at the bars.

It is a nice 'little'' resort. If you want to have a look at my slide show, on YouTube....

Hi Andre! Thanks for your post and link to your Youtube video! It was lovely :)

So Andre, would you say you loved your trip? Just curious.

(Also, I understand everyone has their own opinion :) My husband I are looking for a nice, quiet romantic place to be. No partying. It looks like just the ticket!! LOL
